Just got up and read the topic and im very hyped. I was shocked to see the Japanese release date and im hoping, like many of you no doubt, that we still get the console this year. The video showing all the games was superb and the packaging is beautiful.

All the other features like web browsing, character creation, weather channel, photos, and VC that got shown has basically blown my mind. If we dont get it this year then there is no other option for me but to import this beauty.

Roll on Friday!

Just woke. Awesome news :D

I'm seeing every litlle movie of wii presentation, but there is something I didn't like. They put VC games, and software like opera everything in the same window... I'd prefer to see it splited by site and so...

Oh well wii is looking gorgeous :)

PS: and it doesn't matter it launchs after ps3. 100.000 is nothing compared to this. And Europe will play it by Christmas I'm sure :D

Ohhh, looking nice!

December 2nd is kinda wierd for Japan... mind you, Nintendo have a big market there. I really hope we get the Wii in November at the very latest. I'm sure we will though, and it'd be great if we get it first (but that seems unlikely...)

Oh, and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles just became one of my most anticipated games of 2006!

EDIT: Make that 2007 for RE: UC :heh:

Phew, tried to stay up last night, but collapsed at about 2:00. Just been catching up on the action. Wow, the games are the most obvious draw are looking so fantastic I'm drooling, but then on top of that the channels. Probably one of the greatest bonus features of a console I have ever seen (bar dvd playback on Playstation 2, that was a pretty good bonus feature at the time.)

Sweet :)

http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/console/index.html

Says

12cm discs are dual layered? I thought they were only single?

Also says Opera is an option??

AV is a multiple output terminal (Whatever that means)

Also an optional LAN adaptor (Which we knew, but this confirms it)

Also has the stand and wii dimensions

[Console] Width 44mm height 157mm depth 215.4mm (the projection part is excluded)

[Console stand] Width 55.4mm height 42mm depth 225.6mm (the projection part is excluded)
