One thing they semi referenced [with the Dowdy Kitchen Man] was someone/s looking at documents, namely photos. They do it all the time on the local news and it's just so forced it's cringeworthy. Everytime someone local dies, they cut to a shot of the mum sitting down flicking through photos like they do with voting on Golden Balls [another gripe] with the family standing behind them. It reminded me of when a game or movie or something redesigns an established entity in a "dark" way. I can imagine a great Pokemon game on Wii with those designs.
