mcj metroid Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 it really is isnt it?the omen isnt supposed to be great, poseidon was OK at best.xmen was disappointing and they were some of the top films. It seems like the most unlikely of films were the good ones.I loved v for vendetta.Looking at american reviews cars and over the hedge arent great either.whats happening?
dabookerman Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 We have, cars, superman, pirates of the carribean, and ofcourse the legendary snakes on a plane to look forward to. but you're right, it has been quite dissapointing compared to last year.
Charlie Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Well we've got the new Pirates of the Caribean (sp?) and Bond film to look forward too some time soon hopefully... Brick was very good, although quite hard to understand.
Monopolyman Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 It's disappointing for blockbusters, I agree, but if you really look, There have been some decent, if not widely celebrated films (like every year, really). For example, Brick, Lucky Numver Slevin, Walk the Line, Slither, and more or less all the Best Picture nominees this year, which were all relesed in the UK this year (except Crash), and The Propositon looks good too. S.O.A.muthafuckin'.P FTW!
Marshmellow Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 What are you talking about! there was Curious George! haha i never went and saw this movie, just saw a commercial, and had read the books as a child.

Shino Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Is this film actualy about snakes on a plane?! Or is it some kind of metaphor I don't understand?
dabookerman Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Is this film actualy about snakes on a plane?! Or is it some kind of metaphor I don't understand? Its about SNAKES on a PLANE, and it stars Samuel L jackson. FOTY
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 I wouldn't say disappointing. I saw the Omen remake yesterday and enjoyed it. And yes, i do love the original.
Meik Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Is this film actualy about snakes on a plane?! Or is it some kind of metaphor I don't understand?"Neville Flynn (Samuel L. Jackson) and Sean Jones (Nathan Phillips), FBI agents, escort John Saunders (Mark Houghton), a former Mafia member, to testify in a highly publicized case. In the course of a flight between Hawaii and California, an assassin pays airport security to sneak a time-release crate of 400 snakes of various sizes on board in the hope of killing the witness." 400 SNAKES... ON A PLANE. With Samuel L. Jackson for added awesomeness.

Eenuh Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Only looking forward to the new POTC, which won't be out here till the beginning of August. Which is way too late to go see it with my boyfriend. Bleh. Other than that, I can't really remember any other good movie coming out this year.
Stocka Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Well we're already half way through the year and I have only seen a few films at the cinema, all of of which I found nothing to really like about. So yeah disappointing, for me at least. Hopefully the second half of the year will deliver, can't wait till Pirates of the Carribean 2
