Nintenchris Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 When you say customs friendly ... how do you know they are? have you used them before? *Edit* Bah i have thought about it and im just gonna wait as i wont be able to charge it anyway *Edit*
darthbane2k Posted June 1, 2006 Author Posted June 1, 2006 When you say customs friendly ... how do you know they are? have you used them before?*Edit* Bah i have thought about it and im just gonna wait as i wont be able to charge it anyway *Edit* Of course you can charge it. Just buy an adaptor from ebay or liksang - they cost £4 tops. As for customs friendly, what I mean is that they will mark down your goods to avoid her majesty taxing you. Its a great deal - no reason to wait for the UK Lite at all.
darthbane2k Posted June 1, 2006 Author Posted June 1, 2006 I'd rather have a warrenty. well then this offer isnt for you. the £99.99 price tag for the UK DS Lite is the most expensive in the entire world. Its ridiclious. The DS lite goes for $129.99 in the USA - thats £75. Experienced importers like myself already know that nintendo UK are very kind and often quite willing to repair import consoles should the worst happen. And as this is a HANDHELD, they EXPECT you to take it out of the country.
Celeb Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 In Finland DS Lite costs 160€, which is £110. I have already preordered my copy for that price, because it might get tricky if my Lite has a dead pixel. It would be harder to get a replacement copy if its imported.
The3rdChildren Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Nice, I may take advantage of this. I'm not all that desperate for a Lite, though.
The fish Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Holy-moley, thats cheap! My DS is Canadian so I already have an adapter, just to make things a little easier...
demonmike04 Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Hmm, you did make me think on this one, but i'd have to give it a miss. Its a very good deal though for selling a DS lite so cheap, but I dont really want to run the risk.

darthbane2k Posted June 1, 2006 Author Posted June 1, 2006 when you guys go on about 'risk' what are you talking about? Dead pixels? DS not working? Nintendo UK are very friendly towards repairing imports and your credit card company will protect you from anything else....
AshMat Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 I know where mine's coming from, time tos tart selling stuff
Jav_NE Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Sounds too good to be true, but im gonna give it a go. £35 cheaper, you cant say fairer. And the site doesnt look dodgy to me at all, very professional. As people have said, the converted price from the US to GBP is £75, the extra 10% is only because of the code. Dont be so foolish! It's the right price... it's the price it should be over here, we always get ripped off.
demonmike04 Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Yeah seing as your always skint you had better give this a miss.. mikey baby! I'l have you know I did have money! Bought a wifi adapter yesterday, didnt work with this fricken AOL coz im on gold instead of platinum, so i've gotten tetris. NOW im skint

Do they have government provided pensions! no!! Tax my friend. People should stop saying UK/Europe is expensive. Different economy, different prices. If one must order from an import site http://www.dvdboxoffice.com (based in canada) is a fantastic site with free deliver and a great after sales service (ordered SM64 DS and animal crossing from them).

I think the question is - do they have a royal family? I know the economy is different, but we DO get shafted when it comes to prices. if we had no monarchy, taxes would either be lower or put to better use. if I can save sevral quid importing a DS Lite AND recieve it earlier, then im gonna go for it.

Lol though the Royal Family do spend a lot of money they revenue they bring as a result of tourism and patroitism IMO almost balances it. Anyways without them who is going to dissolve the government and give us our royal waves! We do get shafted, there is no doubt, but something like giving us the Black DS lite is a step in saying "we are sorry".
LazyBoy Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 I've ordered one, sold my old DS to a friend with two games for £70, so the price is covered. 1. Do they have free health care? no!2. Do they have job-less support? beyond 3 years total no! 3. Do they have government provided pensions! no!! To be fair mate, our No.1 is a piece of crap, and by the time we need it No.3 won't be worth anything.

In case anyones wondering, these people are a reputable company. they are forum sponsors for avforums.com They also have a feature to text message (SMS) your mobile phone during each stage of the shipping process. Although I ordered my DS through DVD Crave, I ordered mario kart through dvdstars and the order was processed and shipped within 24 hours.
