thomaschung Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 I know it's not announced yet: date, price, and what games will be available, but from what games we do know about that are likely to be available some time at launch or slightly after, what 2 or 3 games will people buy? I'm guessing most people will pick up 2 games? It will definitely be an interesting choice. My first is a given - that would have to be Legend of Zelda. I'll have a harder time deciding on my 2nd game, possibly an RPG from Square Enix, Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles or Dragon Quest. But then I'm really excited about Red Steel and Metroid Prime Corruption as well. Then Super Mario Galaxy will probably launch within 2 months as well. Things look amazingly good especially with Super Smash Bros. Brawl on the horizon too.
DiemetriX Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Depends on the launch games.. But I'll buy everything made by nitendo Red steel if it gets 7+ in score. FFCC Trauma center Madden I'm probably getting nearly all the games. ... It's to early to tell really.. I need an official list to go after.
Colin Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 I'm glad someone made this topic, as I was going to do it the other day. Anyway, here is the list of launch titles that Owen posted in another thread. Seems pretty close I would say. Well there not all 100% confirmed but it's 95% certain: Wario Ware: Smooth Moves Legend Of Zelda: The Twilight Princess Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Red Steel Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz Tony Hawks: Downhill Jam Rayman Trauma Centre: Second Opinion ExciteTruck Wii: Sports (if it's not put in free with consoles) Project H.A.M.M.E.R For me, my launch games will be Zelda, Excite Truck (looked wicked after seeing E3 vids), Wario Ware, and Wii Sports. And if Red Steel receives some decent reviews and opinions then I'll also try and buy that. There are too many decent launch games there though. I would still want Metroid, Monkey Ball and Trauma Centre aswell. Oh well. Edit - And Crystal Chronicles has no chance of being a launch title btw.
GigaPlay Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Twilight Princess and Metroid Prime 3 will probably do me until Christmas, when I'll probably get Super Monkey Ball and Red Steel. If I had an official list, I'd probably list a few more. Red Steel has online multiplayer, right? There needs to be at least one online game at launch =/.
Sparko Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Twilight Princess for sure, and then depending on reviews, Red Steel and Rayman.
KingJoe Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 I think I'll limit myself to 2 games so as not to overload. Probably Zelda and Wario. Zelda is a must unless it's on GC earlier. Red Steel to follow soon after if it's any good. Gotta love sword fighting.

Colin Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 You beat me to it Dante. Just about to post that list. Seems more accurate I would say.
Hero-of-Time Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Like DiemetriX I will be getting all the Nintendo made games and probably Monkey Ball for good measure.

Philoss Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 (edited) Super Monkey Ball : Banana blitz The legend of Zelda : Twilight Princess ________ HeavenLady Edited August 22, 2011 by Philoss
Pit-Jr Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 ill be getting the new DQ Wii sports (hope its a pack-in!) Wii airplane or Pilotwings, whichever Zelda and Metroid And depending on how they turn out, FF, Excitetruck and Red Steel Damn this compelling launch lineup!
Guest Jordan Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Zelda: Twilight Princess Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Red Steel Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz definatly Wario Ware: Smooth Moves if its a launch game it looks a BLAST. And definatly the Square stuff if it makes it for launch.
gaggle64 Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Only likely to be able to afford a couple of games on the day, so (going by above launch list)- On the day - Zelda Wii Sports Madden (if I can aford 3!) Will certainly get - Wario Ware Crystal Chronicles Metroid Prime 3 (Just as soon as I finish Echoes!) Mario Galaxy Excite truck Will also consider- Red Steel Monkey ball - Banana Blitz Dragon Quest Trauma Centre Elebits Rayman Project H.A.M.M.E.R. Wii Music Metal Slug And yes, this must surely be the best line-up ever! I'm also assuming that everyone will get Smash Bros when it gets here.
Zombie_Fan Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Its so hard to make up my horror filled mind. I will get Legend of Zelda and Metroid Prime 3. I will also consider getting Metal Slug Anthology (SNK kicks @ss) and Excite Truck. This might change when the time comes. This is like choosing between Led Zeppelin and The Dead Kennedys, their all good.
Babooo Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 I'm really not too sure yet.....I think I'll probably be getting Zelda on the GC... So that leaves Metroid prime 3 and possibly Red Steel.
GigaPlay Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 That launch line up looks alright, though I'm not really interested in most of those titles at all. Metroid Prime 3 is the only one that I'm really interested in. How many of those games have online play anyway? =/
Librarian Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 well Zelda ofcourse and and a few others.. depends on the reviews... But im glad that they have finally found out (thanks god) that a good launch line up is maybe perhaps a good idea?.. thinking about the GameCube and DS launch.. jaysus what a boring launch..
Owen Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 The Launch List. 1. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 2. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption 3. Wii Sports 4. Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam 5. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 6. Madden NFL 2007 7. Elebits 8. Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz 9. Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors 10. SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab 11. Rayman Raving Rabbits 12. Red Steel 13. Metal Slug Anthology 14. Blitz: The League 15. Trauma Center: Second Opinion Well i'm definately getting: 1,2,3,8,12,15 and Excitetruck + Wario Ware Smooth Moves! Maybe (depends on reviews) 11,7,4 I cannot wait! I'm saving mentally from beginning of May to October!
Nintendork Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Which ever gets the best review pre-launch by Meta Critic. (except Wii sports, I know everyone will love it for novelty value but for me it's got no replay value)
That Guy Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Super Monkey Ball : Banana blitzThe legend of Zelda : Twilight Princess Yep, me too. I'm interested in a few others though so I may pick up a third game.
Caris Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 For me... Zelda MP3 Super Monkey ball Excite truck. mite leave either Monkey balls or Excite truck till crimbo though.
