  1. Super Smash Bros. 3DS / Wii U

Mega Man's specials feel so weak. After playing Snake I expect nice launch power from explosions but the crash bomber is so piddly. The leaf shield doesn't seem to serve a real purpose. His aerials seem pretty decent though.
  2. Super Smash Bros. 3DS / Wii U

One thing I have noticed in this demo is that Pikachu appears as a random opponent a seemingly inordinate amount. In fact I got him to appear 15 times in a row when playing Mega Man and having a single CPU character in the fourth slot. Statistically significant[?]. Edit: Now I can't get the bugger to appear at all. Whack. For the craic I did 30 matches just to see, he only appeared 30% of the time. Not a lot compared to 20/25% so probably just random [or an RNG burp].
  3. Super Smash Bros. 3DS / Wii U

Read this was done by the Metal Gear composer they had on board. When I saw her name in the music section I had hopes for Snake returning but this theme makes a nice consolation prize. A terrible shame seeing two MGS related names (Snake's Japanese VA doing Goroh's voice) in the credits but nothing Metal Gear. On the demo: The Gust Bellows from SS is completely evil. At least it has a relatively low lifetime of use because that thing is insane for pushing people off stage and making recovery impossible. Unless it's Villager. Villager is the master of recovery, it will take nothing short of launching him at high speed or meteor smashing to kill him.
  4. Super Smash Bros. 3DS / Wii U

Very impressed by how smooth the game runs even in 3D. Controls are definitely a bit wonky, especially because the demo locks you into using up for jump so getting tilts, smashes and jump can be kind of a dice roll. The demo is probably a bit too bare, I can't imagine people being sold on this alone. I can see the game being pretty enjoyable for just doing a quick match every now and then, but I presume all the meat will be in the console version. Villager is a beast.
  5. Super Smash Bros. 3DS / Wii U

I'll take one if there's any still going. e: Sound stuff man, thanks a billion
  6. Super Smash Bros. 3DS / Wii U

tbh I think it would be a lot easier if they just got Snake back rather than trying to shoehorn his moveset onto an AW character. As much I want one ("What's an airport, again?" Andy fo' life) I'd prefer it if they developed something from their games, maybe even akin to how Pac-Man appears.
  7. Super Smash Bros. 3DS / Wii U

Do you think we're going to get a real answer as to what happened with Snake? I don't like how many people project their reasons onto his exclusion, it would be nice to get some closure on why exactly Sakurai didn't include him again
  8. Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire

That is the greatest sin of all in this design. No longer will new players be confused as to whether he's wearing a hat or if they're playing as the boy who aged too soon
  9. Super Smash Bros. 3DS / Wii U

Hello friends, I was just passing through and thought I'd drop in to say hi. What's that? Codes? Sure I'll take one. More seriously, is there some kind of established pattern to who did and didn't get a code? I only registered and connected my Club Nintendo account to my 3DS today. I suspect I naturally didn't get anything.
  10. Super Smash Bros. 3DS / Wii U

Just think of all those codes sitting in the e-mail accounts of people who will never use them.
  11. Is 2010 the last year for Wii?

I just want a Nintendo console that actually has a decent amount of online functionality. I don't care much about how it looks considering my lack of a high definition TV though I wouldn't mind a little bit more power in the graphics department. Personally I'm surprised the Wii's as old as it is. I haven't played it even a tenth as much I did my GC so it generally feels a bit disappointing to me. I feel as though I'm still waiting for it to properly reach its stride.
  12. I found Modern Warfare 2 to be really disappointing. It felt very short lived and it seemed like the story was a case of them just trying too hard. Removing co-op in campaign was a huge step backward in my opinion, it was one of the best parts of WaW. I don't play much multiplayer but from what I can see it's not all that great. It feels like IW got a bit lazy when they decided to introduce a death perk over just fixing spawns. In the games I've played the game was practically over after somebody spawn killed enough times to get a bunch of killstreaks. WaW had spawning problems too but it didn't feel as though it contributed to defeat as much as it does now. I expected WaW to suck but I was surprised at how good it was. Having played a bit of 4 recently, MW2 just feels like a disappointment.
  13. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Spoilers Topic)

I've been playing in black and white nearly the entire time. It can really mess you up sometimes.
  14. The Lisbon Treaty

    1) Not all that many, of course I very much doubt many yes voters even understood it either. 2) Not too many I'd assume, people here seem generally pro-Europe in my experience. Enough to help the Yes vote along a bit too. 3) No idea. Probably the same amount who voted Yes just to spite Libertas/The 'No' campaign 4) Lots. Of course there would have been 'Yes' votes that simply put the trust in what the politicians said. 5) No idea, probably the same amount who were scared off voting 'no' because Europe would beat them up/leave them behind and Sinn Féin would come and eat their children. On the note about the posters/signs, there was about 7 Yes poster for every No poster. If people were going to vote simply on which they saw more often, Yes would have won easily. Didn't help though that the Yes posters just said "Yes" and "Good for" again and again.
