Zechs Merquise
The 24th is a pretty epic day for releases. Disaster (Wii) Dead Space (360/PS3) Far Cry (360/PS3) Fable (360) Bioshock (PS3) LittleBigPlanet (PS3) It's defo a big day for games, but with Disaster being the only one for the Wii I'd say it still has a good chance. I think at least one of the big PS3 releases will be squeezed out, my bet is that LittleBigPlanet underperforms...
Guest Maase
Urgh, to be honest, Disaster gets crushed by every other game in there xD

Hellfire
I don't see much of a big deal about Dead Space, it looks like a good game I'm sure but it doesn't make me jump out of my chair, don't have a PS3 and well... Fable 1 didn't leave me optimistic. Still, fantastic day all those are good games for sure.
Dazkarieh
Only interested in Little Big Planet and Disaster that day. Seems that my X360 will keep reading DVD's...

Noku
Only interested in Disaster, really. This is a Nintendo forum Fallout 3 releases a week later, that little title has got my interest, mainly because I'm a sucker for postapocalyptic settings. Hero-of-Time
So the US release of the game depends on how many of us from Europe buy it. Reggie on Disaster: Day of Crisis - Reggie says that Nintendo of America is seeing how the title does in Europe, and then they will take it from there. RedShell
So the US release of the game depends on how many of us from Europe buy it.How times have changed ey? Anyway, they've got a sale from me for sure, this game looks awesome. Hellfire
I'm guessing while that's true, they also wanna tread lightly as US is so concerned about terrorism.
DazzeL
I cannot actually believe Nintendo is waiting to see if this game sells in Europe/Japan before releasing it in the US. It seems so off to me. This isn't a minor title (especially in terms of dev time and probably budget). This is a fairly big release and it's exactly the sort of thing the Western audience is more likely to buy. With marketing this could easily sell more than say MP3 - especially if it's reviewed well too. Seems a bit like Reggie bs to me.

Most interesting snippet: "CVG spotted the first game review over at Xbox World 360 magazine who gave it a 91% and went as far as to say that Resident Evil developer Capcom should take note of Dead Space, 'because EA can teach them a thing or three about survival horror.'" david.dakota
According to IGNs podcast, the reason that Disaster ain't coming to the US is down to Reggie's belief that the game has terrible audio. A game like Disaster needs great audio. If its cheesy dialogue, fine but atmospheric music and sound should be a priority when a volcano is blowing its top. How can someone read something like that and believe in it? Do you really believe Reggie would make a decision based on his gaming knowledge? Reggie is COO... he is not a tester or something like that. For him, only one thing matter: if the game will bring them profit or not. Please don't believe/say something like that... it's simply stupid. Now... let's move on from that... have you seen/heard the videos available from the game? I tell you this:
david.dakota
Don't shoot the messenger. Matt and Mark are certainly more connected to NOA execs than i am, so when they say something its worth discussing. Personally, i'm hyped. I like the premise, i like the tone, i like the game. My opinion is, given the premise of the game, it'd be a crying shame if there was dodgy audio- nothing short of PL2.
