I'm getting a HDTV soon, and my 360 has no HDMI port (it's a Core that I got at launch.) However, I've seen some great offers on ebay for Premium systems, with HDMI ports.

 

I'm going to attempt to get one (for around £120-90), then I'm selling the Core to my mate for £110, then the extra hard drive and a wireless networking adapter seperately. There's also possible extras I'd be able to sell. But then I'd also need to get a HDMI cable...

 

Is it worth it? I deffinitely want the extra quality...

HDMI is basically the best of VGA and Component put together... but is it worth selling your console? Probably not.

 

If you want sharpness, go for VGA. If you want colour go for component.

Never in a million years will I get Rock Band. Not after being jerked around over the release date and the price. There's only so much abuse I can take.

 

I want to boycott too, but my friends want to buy and split the cost and that makes it affordable, but still it is awful what they have done.

Apparently my 360 has been shipped back, which is a pretty quick turnaround considering the status page seemed to indicate they only had it for about 1 day. Why can't I shake this feeling that it's going to come back exactly the same except for a post-it note saying "have you tried a different AV cable?"

MS Selling Old Consoles as "New" (Europe) - Buyers Beware!

 

"French website logic-sunrise who is usually pretty clued up on these things indicates that Microsoft's new 199 Euro's Xbox 360 packs with 2 games and 2 wireless controllers are in fact OLD machines. After opening 10 of them, they found that the machines have been converted to new and all have non-falcon motherboards, old Hitachi 47 or Samsung MS25 drives and the repair center sticker on them. They suggest that you do not buy these packs and if you want a brand new machine, then fork out 199 Euro's for the arcade pack or 269 Euro's for the premium pack"

I have a problem.

 

Re-bought a 360 today (yay) got myself an elite. Plugged everything in. Re-downloading the map packs for gears ov war. Turned off the console to do the turn off after stuff has been downloaded. Console stays on for like 20 seconds when the lights goes off and then shuts off.

 

Tried this a few times and does the same thing. Also when turning the console back on the wireless adaptor wont work. I have to unplug and re-plug it for the xbox to recognise it. It's downloading fine when the 360 is on...

 

I have also checked the setting and auto-off and off after download are both enabled...

 

Help!?
