ZeldaFreak Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 Stop moaning you faggot. stop whining yourself the wii and the ds games arn't really innovative, the controler input is innovative. thats all Apparently there's this new fangled mode called "multiplayer", I hear it's quite good. i'm not a fan of games companies who put multiplayer over single player in fps/action adventure titles
Aimless Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 the wii and the ds games arn't really innovative, the controler input is innovative. thats all I disagree. True most titles are quite traditional games, but would you really want every title from now on to be another Brain Training or Nintendogs? They're innovative in tapping new markets, and I'm not belittling that at all, but that doesn't mean I would want Twilight Princess dumbed down into Dragon's Lair with Wiimote gestures. Anyway, if you change the input method then you change the game, and so long as the developers take this shift into account then innovation bleeds down into it. The possibilites that the DS and Wii allow for is huge, and even if publishers aren't lusting for these changes as much as they should be, advances will still be made over time. Yadda, yadda, yadda... How many times have we gone through all this?
Guest Stefkov Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 PES6 is looking great, apart from what looks like Lampard in one of those pics, looks like he sellotaped his eyes closer together. Anyone know where i can get some points cheap? I want to get some jut for the future maybe Doom now, but there isnt much to get now is there? completed Blazing Angels.......!!!!!!!!!:D finally.
Charlie Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 Completed the story missions on Just Cause this afternoon. Loved it all the way through. Completed about 30 of the 200 side-missions. Not sure how many more I'll do before I sell it. Most of them are really trivial, go to 'a', pick up 'b', come back to 'c'.
Owen Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 Wow, i actually enjoyed playing 'Fifa 2007' when i hate football! I think my bros buying Pro though!

According to the article of Xboxfront, accompanying Nobuuzi Itagaki of the producer, after the PS3 edition is complete, he made his intentions to port this game to Xbox 360 clear. At what specific time it is not known yet, but if true, it means that it will be the Hayabusa debut for the first time in Xbox 360. www.gdex-gamenews.jp 360 port of a PS3 port of an Xbox special edition of an Xbox game based on an NES game.

That is badly translated, I've just watched the interview on gametrailers.com and he actually says he's commited to the 360 and NGS on the PS3 doesn't mean Team Ninja are switching platforms. There was no mention of a 360 version.
gmac Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 is it just me or did has anyone else found the Fifa 07 demo to be a bit crap?
m_fergy Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 is it just me or did has anyone else found the Fifa 07 demo to be a bit crap? Mite just be you caus I think its one of the best FIFA's yet
That Guy Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 I disagree. Yadda, yadda, yadda... How many times have we gone through all this? I totally agree with this post. Wii and DS are all about innovation. Input is the game for me. You are changing the game entirely. I think the next 2 years will see some incredible games for both systems. Obviously 360 has a list of great software, so hopefully the ever so slightly slow start (still some great games but not enough) will be over soon enough. On another note, Burnout is pissing me right off whilst being a great laugh. I'm loving playing it, but the whole 'dark' issue is truely irritating. I'll be driving along and suddenly in front of me is entirely black and I can't see whether it's a wall or just a dark area. Kinda annoying, but still great game.
KKOB Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 wow ZeldaFreak throws up another load of old tosh-shocking i got the camera and its okay apparently-would've been better if they included the wireless headset with it too
The3rdChildren Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 I guess this is more useful here than in the Halo thread (the Halo thread is dead). As you might know, a bunch of us often get together and play Halo 2. When I saw one of the Halo Wars wallpapers in high resolution I just knew a recolour was in order. Now this isn't completely finished and I'm still fixing/tidying up bits of it but I'm quite pleased how it's going so I figured I'd post it up for all to see. From left to right: Blackfox (on turret), CVD (sans emblem as his current one is a mess), me, Arragorn, Meik, Jordan, Bowser57, CubeChris.
The3rdChildren Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 I'm not a fan of games companies who put multiplayer over single player in fps/action adventure titles So I guess we won't be seeing you online on any of those games anytime soon? No? Aw, okay.
Bowser57 Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 So I guess we won't be seeing you online on any of those games anytime soon? No? Aw, okay. The thing is I'd happily leave Colin alone to just follow Zeldafreak around killing him, and I hardly read these forums anymore! Forgetting all that, absolutely awesome work on the picture mate!
James Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Ok so I been playing oblivion quite a bit, finally have become head of thieves guild. Chuck Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Are you kidding me? Fifa 07 Demo is mint! Yea you only get half a game, but the selection of teams and HD quality:grin:
ZeldaFreak Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Like burnout I would play online seen as its multiplayer driven. But action adventure the single player is more important than multiplayer.
Charlie Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Like burnout I would play online seen as its multiplayer driven. But action adventure the single player is more important than multiplayer. What if its online co-op playing the same game as the single player?
DiemetriX Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 That Halo Pic is sweeet! I'll have to make my own recolour ^_^
Caris Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Like burnout I would play online seen as its multiplayer driven. But action adventure the single player is more important than multiplayer. You bitter little boy.
Guest Stefkov Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 that halo pic is awesome. How do you get the different colours on that game? Why is some people have different symbols? I didnt read the instruction manual, i just hopped online that time.

I didnt read the instruction manual, i just hopped online that time. On the picture the Color is photoshoped in. On halo 2 you go to the config screen to change color and personalize your symbol. People have different symbols to show their individuality. some clans have symbols that match etc. The symbol feature in halo2 is a really neet feautre and is very helpfull when playing team battes. The symbol becoms your identity.

1UP Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Like burnout I would play online seen as its multiplayer driven. But action adventure the single player is more important than multiplayer. Ok first of all, I love GOW and I go the forums every day etc and I would say I know quite a lot about it, not trying to brag but w/e. Mark Rein said the game will be ATLEAST 12.5 hours on easy for a normal person, it could easily go up to 15 hours. Then theres co-op, which is EXACTLEY the same as the single player one. Plus when you finish Casual or Hardcore setting (any of them), you will unlock Insane mode. You're also forgetting this is a SHOOTER not an RPG, shooters aren't very long and I'd rather have a shorter, amazing experience than a long, 25 hours borring and repetative game. And you said you don't like companies which put MP infront of SP. Well this is DEFINATLEY not the case with Gears. CliffyB even said 70% is on SP, and 30% is on MP. This game is more SP oriented than MP. They even have the guy who wrote the Halo books writing the story for Gears. And you have PDZ, thats pretty damn short.
