Mundi Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Dude. I think you need to convince me not to buy it. Seriously. SERIOUSLY!!! It's in a basket and all that's stopping me is the fact that my wallet is out of arm's reach... I dare you. I Dan Dare ya! See how clever I am? I said Dan instead of double, hurr hurr hurr
jayseven Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Well it is done. Please don't tell my mother.
Shorty Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 what're you going to do with it for the next 4 months?
jayseven Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Keep it in the box and look at it/use the controller/try and figure out if it'll work on my tv

It's in a basket and all that's stopping me is the fact that my wallet is out of arm's reach... Btw, did you use quidco (1.5% cashback) and a reward card (£11.50 worth of points)??
jayseven Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 yeas for reward card, nein for cashback. £2.29 down, but not out.
Guest Jordan Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Just let me have one of those red/black controllers and i'll be happy...
Bren Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 anyone know the trade in prices u get for an elite? mine occasionaly flashes 2 red lights at me, might be worth the trade in, instead of paying the £60 microsoft will ask for to fix it :/
Mundi Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 The red Xbox looks kinda Christmasy, the whole red with green light and all.
Esequiel Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I want one, but if i get it all it will do is sit in its box and look pretty... Unless i sell my 60GB..........
Illusionary Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 So, Braid for 800 points... can anyone confirm whether this offer applies on a 48-hour free trial? I've only got Live Silver, but I do have a spare trial card. I'd need to go and get myself some points to take advantage of the offer, though, so it would be great to know if I should use up the trial now. Thanks!
Bren Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 game marketplace is available to all live members i think, you can buy games if your silver or gold, and seeing as braid has no online multiplayer, it wouldnt ever need a gold account :/
gmac Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 but the discounts are only available to people with gold accounts

ThePigMarcher Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 My head hurts. I only need 7 more pieces (spread over worlds 5 and 6) on Braid , but those final pieces are killing me. I refuse to give in to a guide or any crap like that as I am sure I'll figure them out soon enough , it would kind of defeat the object of the game too. Still enjoying it though.
Illusionary Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 No. You're still classed as silver with a 48-hour code. Oh, well Thanks anyway!
Hero-of-Time Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Virtual On heading to XBLA! It's true. Sega is bringing Virtual On Oratorio Tangram, its hardcore arcade mech fighting game, to Xbox Live Arcade. The re-release has been officially announced in the latest issue of Japan's Famitsu Weekly. The Xbox 360 release will be Cyber Troopers Virtual On Oratorio Tangram version 5.66, the final release for Sega's NAOMI arcade platform, released in 2000. The Xbox Live Arcade release, slated for April, has already been priced at 1200 Microsoft Points according to the mag. Hopefully, the official announcement of VOOT means that more of Sega's Dreamcast and NAOMI titles are en route. After all, Sega registered the trademark for Virtual On Oratorio Tangram in December, alongside a slew of other Dreamcast era games over the past six months. Those include ChuChu Rocket, Cosmic Smash, Jet Grind Radio, Sonic Shuffle and more. Sega has yet to confirm a re-release of any of those titles, however. With the Dreamcast due for its tenth anniversary in North America later this year, will Sega capitalize on console nostalgia further? Oh, God, let's hope so.

Columnar Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Is there a whiff of Dreamcast revival-ness in the air? Sega must capitalize on this because there will be tons of people like me who were and are still loving the Dreamcast so being able to play these games in HD on 360 would be amazing, although I could do without Sonic Shuffle - still seems like an odd choice (if it indeed does reappear).
jayseven Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Laaame... Game has effectively cancelled my order. Either that or I change the delivery address to my brighton address, and thus have to explain to my mother how I can afford to spent £230... My pre-order is still standing, but the memory unit and even the fucking reward card have been cancelled. I may just try and go into my local bank branch and change my billing address - and make sure to remember to change it when I move out. Hassle.
Dyson Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I'm getting fed up of the new standard 1200 pricing system for Arcade games. The 1200 pricing structure for new arcade games is beginning to really piss me off. 800 was pricey enough, let alone 1200. It was alright for a couple of games, but it's as if every new game that comes out on XBLA is coming out at 1200 points.

Probably an XBLA version, and likely 1200 points. Hopefully it doesn't skimp out on the features.

And straight after posting my previous post about hating the 1200 points pricing, I'm immediately sold. God damn you worms.
