Guest Jeggling Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Because I don't like leaving my age, gender & email address laying around the internet. Just a personal thing but i would like to delete it.
ShigeruTR Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 It's only in beta at the moment, since some browsers still don't support it (such as IE). There will have to be a new code (since it's not embedding a flash file) but it will certainly be possible. We probably won't bother with it until HTML 5 is more widely supported, which is a long way off. We were just edit the normal YouTube code's resolution and save as a diffrent tag. Because I don't like leaving my age, gender & email address laying around the internet. Just a personal thing but i would like to delete it. Ho-ho-ho XD
Kirkatronics Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 I can't seem to upload or save an image to use as my avatar. It just tells me 'unable to save'. I've compressed it, resized it, anything i could think of.
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 That has often happened to me before as well. I never know what it is I do right to make it work.
Shorty Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Well... I just changed it Kirk. And I didn't do anything special or adminny. So whatever was wrong, it was something you were doing.

Eddage Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 (edited) What's up with the avatar settings? If I try to upload one from my computer it resizes it by 1px, making it shitty and blurry and it adds a background... ......original.......................uploaded If I try to link to an image from photobucket (the above one) it says the remote file is too large (19.5kb limit) I can understand having a file size limit but I've seen loads of people with avatars above 19.5kb, and that are bigger than my image above? Also are site staff members allowed larger avatars like Ashley and Shorty Edited February 22, 2010 by Eddage
Ashley Posted February 22, 2010 Author Posted February 22, 2010 Also are site staff members allowed larger avatars like Ashley and Shorty GCTonyHawk has a big avatar.
Eddage Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 GCTonyHawk has a big avatar. I'll take that as a "yes you are allowed a big avatar" then... Also, any solutions on the problem?

Eddage Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 I'm not here to solve things. Well I'm at a loss then, I haven't ever seen you do anything else of note... Mine always does this too! Possibly try saving as a PNG. Maybe. I think that worked for my latest AVATAR. It is a PNG, if you save it as a gif then Photoshop adds a white border around it...
Emasher Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 What I've always done is uploaded it, then downloaded it form the forum, then removed the white line, and re-uploaded it. I'm not sure if this still works though, I haven't used an avatar with a transparent background in a while.
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Am I the only one who finds the forum slow today?

or else you will DIE Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 mac os x and chrome it was working fine on april 1st and before but after that it just disappeared.
Dyson Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Has anything happened in the backend of the forum lately? I just randomly checked my post count and it's fallen under 10k, when I'm sure it was over that when I was regular. Had a big thread get deleted or something?
Ashley Posted April 10, 2010 Author Posted April 10, 2010 Don't believe so. Deleting things is far too much effort for us lazy
Shorty Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I did some recounts which fixes issues with deleted/moved/copied/merged threads, double posting, errors etc. in an effort to fix the database errors we were getting after that upgrade-that-never-was. That may have reverted all post counts to a lower (but truer) figure.
Eenuh Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Yeah post count changed; I thought I had about 7000 posts (and more), now I'm not even close to 6000. =P
killthenet Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Ashley, I want to ignore you but it won't allow me to because you're a moderator/admin. Is there anything you can do about this?
