Oxigen_Waste Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I believe it is, my Dad believes the second is the best, but that's not the point. Watching the second and third put the first in a lot better context and allow you to appreciate it more. Trust me oxigen, watch them. I will, I have intended to watch them for quite a long time. But I already know they're not gonna be as good as the first one. how can you judge a film if you havent seen it for yourself if the majority have said "o its not as good" you can always go see it and find that YOU prefer it. Shut up Saw IV. You have no say in taste.
Noodleman Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 IA 2 and 3 where awful in my opinion. Should have just left it with the first one.
Solo Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 No Country For Old Men Wow that film was so tense you could hear a pin drop in the audience. Easily my favourite seen is when Lewellyn is waiting for Chigurh in the hotel, then the following shootout, just gobsmackingly, edge-of-your-seat tense. I wasn't too keen of the sudden ending (mainly because I couldn't really understand half of what Tommy Lee Jones was saying) but it went well with the rest of it. 8/10

This rule doesn't apply to Cruel Intentions 2 and 3 does it? I don't want to watch those as I know they'll only ruin the first one.
Hellfire Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Is it? Please do explain why, then.Is it not true that the first is the best? People who I trust say the 2nd is the best. Then again, just saw the first.

Cruel Intentions is just a lame Valmont and Dangerous Liaisons remake. People who I trust say the 2nd is the best. Then again, just saw the first. O LuÃs disse-me que o segundo era horrÃvel. E que o terceiro é que era awesome.
Slaggis Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Cruel Intentions is just a lame Valmont and Dangerous Liaisons remake. It's still a great film, I've never met someone that hasn't liked it (Though I'm not using that as a reason for it being good, before someone says so). Yes, it's obviously not paticularly original, but that doesn't make it a bad film. Some awesome characters and Sarah Michelle Gellar do make it a good one though. :p Somme, the other two are UTTERLY LAME. The third has it's moments, but the second is a complete mess.
martinist Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Tales from Earthsea I bought it a while ago and never really got round to watching it untill now. Its about a boy who kills his father and then runs off into the desert where he is found by a wizard named Sparrowhawk. I can't really explain the plot to well so just watch this review instead. 9/10

Noodleman Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Cruel Intentions is just a lame Valmont and Dangerous Liaisons remake. Let us not forget the French original.
MoogleViper Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Atonement Excellent film. Really good storyline. I did feel that they skimmed over a lot and could have made some of the scenes longer and more emotional. For example... Where they have to walk from the french house to Dunkirk. That was over in a matter of seconds whereas in the book (or so my mum says) that was a really long and hard journey. The fact that it was so short took away a lot of emphasis and emotion from McAvoy's death. 7/10 but could have been a 9.
Mr. Bananagrabber Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Let us not forget the French original. The Piano What an emotionally draining movie. I love it to pieces though. The soundtrack is absolutely excellent too. 9/10
Goron_3 Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Son Of Rambow - 8/10 A very charming movie. Gave me a good few laughs and the ending was nice
