Schizoid Man Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Okay, this is another blatant rip off of the cool tshirts thread (i'm good at this!), but i'm sick of the shit clothes that my mum buys me cuz I can't be assed to shop for my own. Tshirts are ok (at least now they are anyway!) but coat and trouser-wise i'm stuck with nasty brown primark jackets and same same same fucking stone-wash jeans. Coatwise, something like this would be cool - Whereas trousers I like interesting jeans and otherwise, not the shit with the artistic pre-constructed rips and holes just, interesting. Also any tops apart from tshirts. And it has to be cheap!! Not too fussy then. Anyone wanna help me?
Shorty Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Since that pic is black on black and taken from myspace I think you should be shopping in a thrift store.
Guest Jordan Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 My current fave t shirt (that i actually wear alot!) It says "If my eyes aren't bleeding, I'm not ready to stop playing video games." Oh yeah, i'm hardcore.
The3rdChildren Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 I don't escape my house garbed in blatant videogame shirts because the jagged youths who rule my area would no doubt crucify me. Such shirts live in the pile of "indoors" shirts I usually lounge around or sleep in, such as my HMD Viewtiful Joe shirt, Donkey Kong shirt and red and white mushroom one.
Fields Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 My current fave t shirt (that i actually wear alot!) It says "If my eyes aren't bleeding, I'm not ready to stop playing video games." Oh yeah, i'm hardcore. You seriously wear that?
masaki86 Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 My Favourite piece of clothing is my big ass parker from The GAP with nice furry hood. Got it a couple of weeks ago, wore it to a BCFC game when it was freezing, and it did the job! Fucking warm as hell!!
Owen Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 My fav clothing is 'Penguin-By munsingwear'. I have LOADS of the stuff including Polos, Windbreaker jackets, converse style shoes, hats, ties. It's been seen on Arctic Monkeys, Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and Jake Gyllenhaal! Although they all copied me of course. Not sure it's your style however 'Schizoid Man'. I hate to say it but it's quite 'emo'/mod looking. Actually changing that, it's very O.C, i won't use the word emo on these boards anymore doesn't go down to well.
CoolFunkMan Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 My current fave t shirt (that i actually wear alot!) It says "If my eyes aren't bleeding, I'm not ready to stop playing video games." Oh yeah, i'm hardcore. I got one of those too - deffo a great t-shirt. CAD rules!
elniro Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 My favourite clothing is my all black "Shady" hoody. I wear it all the time and its nice and heavyweight, good stuff in this cold weather
Letty Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 But of course, this is the only tshirt you will ever need.
James Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 got some cool combats from River Island, Evisu-me-do niceley thanks.
EEVILMURRAY Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 But of course, this is the only tshirt you will ever need. As everyone knows his humble fabulous Baron Donald of Shabbá was the first to purchase this T-shirt, making this lass a pale imitation.
Domo Kun Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 DIOR HOMME Hedi Slimaine is the best designer ever, and these are from my favorite collection of his. ROCK ON
Ashley Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Some combats for cheap: http://www.asos.com/Combat-Pant/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=68008&cid=1938 Sweet but pricey watch: http://www.asos.com/Gratis-Studded-Cuff-Watch/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=65&cid=2001 Plain jeans if thats what you're digging: http://www.asos.com/Zip-Jean/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=74084&cid=1589 Quite nice in yellow: http://www.asos.com/Ringspun-Skin-T-Shirt/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=65081&cid=1585 Simple everyday tee: http://www.asos.com/Long-Sleeve-V-Neck-Layerd-Tee/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=74192&cid=1585 Topman have some decent stuff but its a flash site so I can't direct link. And Officers Club have cheap jeans if you just want some everyday stuff. But then again Officers Club is crappy. And as I said before; Topman, Burtons, Next, TK Maxx, River Island, H&M, Cult etc. Domo Kun, any idea where I could buy any of that?
Domo Kun Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Domo Kun, any idea where I could buy any of that? Well it's all Dior, so, assumeing you're not a millionaire, you're going to want to go for cheaper brands. If you're a millionaire- Selfridges/Harrods and buy the entire collection. I can only help you if you live near London, because that's the only place I go shopping. Skinny jeans - The Lee shop on Carnaby Street are doing some awesome pipe jeans right now. - £60. Otherwise, most high street fashion stores (h&m, topman etc) were doing okayish drainpipes last time I went. The Shoes - if you can, go to Swear on Carnaby Street. Awesome shoe shop. Very unique, very in right now. Prices range from 30£ to 90£. You can get good shoes for the lower reigons too. Converse also go with the look. T-shirts/shirts/jumpers/jackets - Shop around. There's some cool places in London's East End on Brick Lane and on Sundays - Spittalfields market does some awesome (and cheap) independent designers. Also, try around that area in all the retro shops, 'Beyond Retro' is my favourite. You can also find really unique things in retro shops such as ski jackets, baseball jackets, leather jackets, cricket jumpers - all these kinda kooky clothes go with the look. Hope that helps.
dabookerman Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 those clothes that domu kun posted appear to of been just taken out of the washing machine LOL
Ashley Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Cheers. I don't live near London but may go see some uni friends (and maybe some of the motley crew such as Platty) at some point. I should be saving but I'd like to go on a shopping splurge. Never been to London, but don't think its gonna compare to NY.
Domo Kun Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Ah nah buddy, London is way cooler than NY. Although I've never shopped in NY. Cool designer, although I wouldn't be seen dead wearing any of his stuff: John Galliano What a nutter eh? What's strange is that his women's stuff is brilliant, very popular, and not too weird at all. Oh, anyone searching for 'a look', try this - http://men.style.com/fashion - 'Select a Designer' untill you find one you like, then rip it off with cheaper clothes from high street stores. Remember to 'Select Another Season' to see more if you find one you like.
Athriller Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Humping Domo Kun for the Dior Homme love. As expensive as Hedi's shiz is, he makes complete master pieces.
Ashley Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Ah nah buddy, London is way cooler than NY. Although I've never shopped in NY. Pff it doesn't compare, especially considering the price. Plus helps if you go during tax-free week when theres no tax on clothing.
dabookerman Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 now that is easily the worlds greatest hat i should hire John Galliano some day eh
demonmike04 Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Je suis Napoleon! Have to agree with dabookerman...I would actually love a hat like that..
Arragaun Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Yeah that hat looks like it was made from a porpoise...
