Glen-i Posted February 20 Posted February 20 (edited) Bump combo! So an interesting thing was added in the latest update for whatever Call of Duty is the latest one. This can be seen in the map added. That's way too blatant to not mean anything. Could the Hawkman finally have gotten his 3+4 remake!? Edited February 20 by Glen-i
Cube Posted February 21 Posted February 21 One thing I hope they do in the 3+4 Remake is create some fictional characters to replace the licensed ones to keep the extra move sets. Ideally, they'd get the actual licenses, but I can understand their expense. The jetpack move is such a fun thing in THPS4 and I wouldn't want to see it removed. Also, they do potentially have Microsoft's franchises to pick from to replace them. Jango Fett is just a suit without a personality, so slap a jetpack on Master Chief and they'll serve the same purpose. 1

As much as I agree that the licensed character omissions are a shame, I will give credit for recasting Officer Dick with Jack Black. Utterly inspired! 1
Dufniall Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Kinda confirmed by the Birdman himself now: Bring it on! Be it a remaster for 3+4, or Underground 1+2, or a new game. Had a lot of fun with 1+2 Remastered. 1
Cube Posted February 21 Posted February 21 https://www.tonyhawkthegame.com/ There's a countdown page for the announcement, which will take place on 4th March. <div class="thps-3-4-countdown aem-GridColumn aem-GridColumn--default--12"> The code says its for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 1
Dcubed Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Spine Transfers are gonna break THPS3 something fierce lol. 1
Julius Posted February 25 Posted February 25 (edited) Bit weird that this has a thread before announcement but sure Anyways, it's been rated in Singapore (originally saw it flagged by Gematsu, so shout-out to them I guess). Woop. It has been rated for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC. Edited February 25 by Julius
nekunando Posted February 26 Posted February 26 I'm so happy this is happening 😃 I love Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 but it doesn't work through the component cable on Wii so it's a pain in the backside to hook up and play. I'm not quite so keen on 4, especially after playing through the GameCube version relatively recently, but it's probably still better to be included than not 😅 The only question for me is whether to pick up the Switch game or wait to see if there is a superior Switch 2 version coming..
Julius Posted Tuesday at 10:48 AM Posted Tuesday at 10:48 AM (edited) According to billbil-kun, this is landing on July 11th: Deluxe Edition comes with Doom Slayer. Further confirmation of a Switch release...who assumed it wasn't coming to Switch? Edited Tuesday at 01:52 PM by Julius 2
martinist Posted Tuesday at 11:05 AM Posted Tuesday at 11:05 AM (edited) I was watching the Square Eye'd Jack livestream for this last night when he was watching the countdown and playing THPS 1+2 HD. The countdown reached zero and did absdolutly nothing. He seemed pretty dissapointed. I guess it worked off of PST or something. I'm more familliar with 3 and 4 than i am with 1 and 2 so i'll be picking this up for sure when it comes out. Edited Tuesday at 11:07 AM by martinist

It's shown for me as going until 18:00 GMT today the entire time when I've checked in on it, so yeah, maybe it's some weird technical timezone thing on his PC or something?
martinist Posted Tuesday at 02:25 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:25 PM guy was Australian so i'm honnestly not surprised there was a timezone issue with an announcement from an American company.
killthenet Posted Tuesday at 04:38 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:38 PM I was trying to place which level that blurred screenshot is from and I think it's got to be Rio from THPS3 - it's going to be interesting to see the more detailed levels I played through pretty much all the THPS games last year when I was ill so you would think I'd be sick of them but I'll definitely be picking this up (hopefully on Switch 2 at launch)
martinist Posted Tuesday at 06:03 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:03 PM (edited) ooof Don't like the look of that "New Soundtrack" ... Edited Tuesday at 06:05 PM by martinist Already posted
Dcubed Posted Tuesday at 06:05 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:05 PM THE ACE OF SPADES!! There’s the official Switch announcement as well. Thread can now be moved to the Nintendo Gaming forum. 1

Cube Posted Tuesday at 08:21 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:21 PM https://www.tonyhawkthegame.com/blog/2025/03/tony-hawk-pro-skater-three-plus-four-launch-announcement More information on the blog, including this bombshell. Quote The parks from THPS3 and THPS4 have been authentically remade in jaw dropping 4K resolution* with streamlined goals in a two minute So THPS4 isn't actually included, but rather the levels are being included in a THPS3 remake. I'll stick to the original, then.
killthenet Posted Tuesday at 08:50 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:50 PM That's a shame that they've completely retooled THPS4 but I suppose it's not too surprising that they decided to bring it more in line with the classic style. I'm interested to see how the conversion works but I suppose at least the original will always be there to go back to I was obviously wrong with my guess that the screenshot was a redesigned Rio, it's apparently a new park from 4's campaign that takes place in a water park.
Dcubed Posted Tuesday at 10:05 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:05 PM That's a huge bummer. @Cube's right, this is a THPS3 remake with THPS4 levels being thrown in as a bonus. Still will likely cop it, but that is a big downer that THPS4 isn't really going to get a proper remake.

On the other hand, THUG 2 had both styles. It could've been done. But, if it's as high quality as 1+2 remake, I'll cope. Probably helps that I have the original 4, so it'll be interesting to see how Classic style works here.

Definitely interested to see how they shake it up but I think I'm finding that more exciting than a relatively straight remake of 4 would have been as I grew a little tired of it when all of the difficult extra objectives came into play on GameCube!
