dukkadukka Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 another guardian reader here. this is an embarassingly middle-class forum isn't it
Haden Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 I'll buy Star if it has Big Brother stories in it The one good thing about that is that it takes sales away from Heat magazine
Charlie Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 My family gets The Herald on weekdays and get the Telegraph on weekends. I only ever read the sport pages though. Graham Spiers sport's diary is really good, as was Andrew Murrays Wimbledon diary.
Dieter Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 UK or not, you can't go around making crazy news papers up! http://destandaard.be/ read it and weep boy :lmao:
Haver Posted September 20, 2005 Author Posted September 20, 2005 Yeah, how long did it take you? Y'know, to build that website? I'M. ON. TO. YOU.
Haden Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Hes Haver on the forums and superhero Peter Parker in real life. Spiderman doesn't enter into the equation anywhere though I'm afraid.
Surrealist Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 For work experience reasons, I'll say the Times. But it's really the Guardian. :p
Dieter Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Yeah, how long did it take you? Y'know, to build that website? I'M. ON. TO. YOU. Ten minutes and a pack of cookies
Haver Posted September 20, 2005 Author Posted September 20, 2005 Hes Haver on the forums and superhero Peter Parker in real life. Spiderman doesn't enter into the equation anywhere though I'm afraid. These historians have a wicked bite!
Bowser57 Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 another guardian reader here. this is an embarassingly middle-class forum isn't it Speak for yourself poshy.
Haden Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 We need it to write our own self serving auto biographies. :lmao:
EEVILMURRAY Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 i read all the papers when im at work, the guardian is indeed the most interesting read, but i do enjoy readoing sex tips from sun and mirror, let the halarity ensue I find them good to read as well, isn't it amazing how whenever someone has sex with someone [Their mothers friend, their step-sister etc] it's always the best they've ever had.
bob Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 The Times, for the Su Doku in T2. The original and best Su Doku.
Eddage Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Anything I can get my hands on at work. This will either be the Daily Mail, The Sun or Daily Mirror think there's usually some more there but can't remember right now!
Shmotz Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 If I buy anything, the Guardian. If I don't care about the news, the Mirror. I hate the Mail/Express too much for words.
Monopolyman Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 If I do read the paper, I just read the local papers I get through the post which reports stuff like some guy down the road won several medals in the transplant games. I also occasionally get The Daily Mail, albiet very occasionally.
mario114 Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 I don't buy one everyday but when i do i get the independent, sometimes the mail.
Pancake Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 If the Guardian is middle class then what's upper class?
Haden Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 The Daily Telegraph and the Spectator. The Spectator used to have a tagline like "unashameably elitest." Lovely stuff. The Gaurdian is a place for the middle classes to whine and pontificate, having said that I may buy it now its in a nice neat 3/4 format.
Cheapshot Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Anything that isn't trashy like the Guardian or something. Does ANYONE here care if David Beckham buys a hat or if whats-her-face gets plastered at some party? It does my head in!
Cubechris Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Guardian for real stuff, Mirror for light news.
EEVILMURRAY Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 If the Guardian is middle class then what's upper class? The Beano. Fucking hair.. I got to keep picking it out my keyboard.
