ANYWAY! Enough about crummy games people say they want, but don't actually want. Trust me, you don't. It's for your own good.

@S.C.G, @BowserBasher. DCubed is free, so we have a full room, any particular 4-player game you want to play at 8:30.

Right, so BowserBasher can't make it for our weekly NSO session, so there's a free spot available tonight if any of you want to join in.

8:30 tonight. And if you want to play a specific N64/GBA game, let us know.

I can join. I don't have a preference.

That sounds like a whistle stop tour on N64 then. Maybe going on to GBA if we have time before 10.

*Note - may not contain gameplay of Mario Kart 64, but eh... might  as well reuse an old thumbnail.

OK, but doors were the least of my problem :heh:

Yeah, there are some N64 games where you can get away with using a Pro Controller.

Perfect Dark ain't one of them. Kinda threw you in the deep end there, thanks for taking it in stride, at least.

Connecting my NSO N64 Controller to my Switch for the first time and finding myself Googling "how to hold an N64 controller?" and feeling a thousand years old doing so...

how-do-you-do-fellow-kids-steve-buscemi.

...which is a bit ironic really because the reason is that this is the first time I'm holding one of these things, for reasons I probably don't need to remind you lot :p

EDIT: wait, this looks and sounds different to when I was flicking through it last night. Does the NSO N64 controller being connected add in Mario 64 sound effects?

Yup, same goes for the other NSO apps and their controllers. It's a nice little touch. When you play multiplayer, it also shows who is using the N64 controller. Which is helpful for figuring out who has an inherent disadvantage with a Pro Controller.

The GB and GBA apps are the only ones that don’t have bonuses for using special controllers with because… well… there aren’t any special GB or GBA controllers available for Switch :p

OK, NSO night has three of us, so anyone who wants to join in, go ahead and let yourself be known. And feel free to name any GBA/N64 game you feel like playing.

8:30pm tonight.

I think at the moment we three are in agreement for a night of Perfect Dark but we are always open to suggestions.
