Mario Kart 8 Deluxe League 2018 (Final results now in)

Absolutely buttfucked thoroughly tonight. I think they randomly decide what items will actually work when you use them. I had 2 Golden Mushrooms in a row and gained nothing. Someone in front of me got a Star and I managed to keep pace with them with no items.

I remember now why I wasn't a fan of this

Whoops! Fixed that up!

 

Yeah, 200cc threw me off too.  Been too long since I last played it (and the extra speed from mushroom hell didn't help )

I guess I managed to avoid the cluster this time. I shouldn't get too comfortable I'll be back to my usual placing next week lol.

I really need to practice 200cc - I was terrible!

Mushroom only/no item races make for pretty boring MKTV highlights though, so figured I’d try something to make it slightly more entertaining. Almost cut out the last GP entirely, but in the end settled for running it at “400cc”.

Yeah, I can totally understand that. I don't think anyone would complain if you did leave out those kind of GP's.
