Posted September 1, 2016 (edited) Damn. I'm actually starting to get a little bit hyped for this direct... It's more just the fact that we're getting a new Nintendo Direct, rather than whatever the content may be. It should be a solid lineup getting showed off. Dragon Quest VII, Animal Crossing update, Pokemon, Hyrule Warriors DLC ( @Glen\-i is certainly getting his money from this game ) Mario Party, Phoenix Wright, Ever Oasis and hopefully Dragon Quest VIII and Monster Hunter Stories. I'm hoping for Detective Pikachu to be available for us straight after the Direct. We've waited long enough to play that game over here! If they can make weapons out of Horses, Sails and Portals powered by dancing, I don't see why not. (Is it sad that that's the thing I'm most eager to see in this direct?) Posted September 1, 2016 Pikmin sidescroller announced! Looks like a mix between Lemmings and Yoshi's Island. Yoshi's Woolly World 3DS also looks nice, and a buttload of RPGs coming up. Posted September 1, 2016 (edited) Pikmin in the style of Metroid I can definitely get behind. That Mario Sports title looks pretty cool too, basically the polar opposite of Ultra Smash. The Horse Racing game looks particularly interesting. New Hyrule Warriors content looks great, Mario Maker 3DS is cool, I think i'd probably spend more time making courses on a handheld. Also they've got me wanting the Boo, Waluigi and Toon Link amiibo. The only disappointment for me was that there was no price drop for the New 3DS but this direct has definitely given me plenty of reason to buy one. Posted September 1, 2016 Life in the old dog yet! Agree with you @dazzybee, does seem strange so much is coming for 3DS if NX is supposed to be handheld too...intriguing. Only disappointment for me was that the Yoshi game wasn't a sequel using the woolly world template. I loved that game but won't be buying the same game again just because.
