Alright!! They're done!!! :D

12 brand new levels are now up for you to plough through! :D

Rather than link to each and every one of them though (far too much effort) I'll just like you to my first level (W1-1) and you can find my list of levels from there (please play them in order)

W1-1: C3E8-0000-003E-C124

In celebration of FINALLY getting my new set of levels out, here's a series of videos that show the officially intended True Speedrunner's Path through W1-2, W1-3 and W1-4.

If you can find an even faster way through my levels, then congrats! You are awesome! :D

Like the first set of levels, Worlds 2 to 4 are designed for beginners who are new to Mario as well as veterans looking for a challenge (those three 1ups hidden in each level are not easy to find ;) ) and of course, the most fun of all... Speedrunners!!! There is always an intended True Speedrunner's Path designed into my levels, so see if you can find it and aim for the best time possible! :D

One of my levels also has a hidden warp zone to a future world as well. Can you find it?

Rumour has it that there's also an entirely secret world hidden somewhere too... ;)

I've already played world one so I jumped ahead.. just as a heads up, I got to jr in world 3-4, but there was no trooper marching around up top. just so you know that is a possible impossible completion scenario if people don't know what is meant to happen.

A nice set of levels.. some I like better than others! The only one I didn't really enjoy was 3-3, but I just generally hate levels with boo's in them, they have great mobility, are practically invincible.. if they block of an escape route then that's it, you're screwed! Other than that one (and the flaw in 3-4 which isn't really your doing!) great levels :)

Going to try out world 4 later on I think

Glad you like em! How did you manage to break W3-4? I can't replicate the bug. Even going back and forth to de-spawn and reset the Koopa Troopa's position doesn't cause a no-win scenario (I knew that after testing it, but I just went back and tried to break it again to no avail).

Do be sure to go back and find all the secrets. I really packed a lot into them! (W3-4's name is a hint about some of the secrets that it hides BTW ;) )

I love the game but it is buggy. My nephew made one level with koopa troopers, and the spawn 3 different ways.. the correct way as he set them (rare) phantom magic koopers (normal buggy way) and freaky phantom koopers (rarest).

It only happened once, and it happened to be the first time I played it. I went back and forth a couple of times, avoiding the flying fireball and fish, looking for maybe some invisible block, or some other item I had missed, eventually restarted the level, I almost skipped it tbh.

As I said, not a design fault, if the game worked solidly the level would work... it's strange to me that these glitches happen.. possibly intentionally to make the levels less compelling than official offerings?

The spawning is dependant on how far away the player is from the enemy/object both horizontally and vertically.

As soon as you enter the activation area, they spawn/de-spawn. It can make exact timing really tough as it's often very hard to predict how fast or slow different players are going to run through your level; it's also tough to stop players from breaking spawning mechanics in your levels by going backwards or jumping the wrong way.

Made my Green Demon level an absolute nightmare to get working right because it completely relied on absolute exact spawn timing.

If you want exact timing without relying on autoscrolling, your best bet is to find some way of slowing the player down; either subtly (with tall/tight jumps) or explicitly (walls that open up after a certain amount of time, lifts on tracks, conveyer belts etc).

If I was any good with Photoshop, my Mii's face would be edited into that.

Hey @RedShell! I noticed on Miiverse that you played through all my new levels! Did you manage to find most of the 1ups? (I'm surprised that you seemed to find so many secrets! You even found the secret Fire Flower on W2-1 that lets you break the level! : peace:), did you find any of the secret True Speedrunner's Paths? Did you find The Secret World?

Either way, I'm glad you seemed to enjoy them! : peace: What was your favourite level?

Yeah, I had a lot of fun playing through all your new courses.

Don't think I found the secret world, but I did come across quite a lot of hidden stuff (more than what I posted about on Miiverse).

As for a favourite, I think destroy Destroy the Airship was pretty damn spectacular. Also really enjoyed Bowser's Flawless Plan, those Miiverse posts with Bowser's dialogue were hilarious!

Anyway, great work. icon14.gif

Cheers! Glad you like em' : peace:

TBH, I don't expect anyone to ever find The Secret World legitimately. It's there for like maybe the one person in the world who ever finds it :p

BTW, finally got round to playing your new levels. Love em'! I never even thought to use the "Correct" sound as a door bell, now I can't unhear it ;)

Hehehe! Cheers. :)

I just uploaded a new one BTW:

Actually started making that course a few weeks back, but never got around to finishing/uploading it until now (it's quite an intricate course). I'm hoping that Zelda fans will enjoy it. ;)

I've finally got around to adding most of you guys so I'll play through a bunch of your levels tonight!

I only took so long because the thought of entering all those codes was so daunting (and took me back to the sorrowful days of friend codes) but my hatred for the lame Automatic Mario levels that have flooded the top trending levels finally outweighed my hatred for entering in a bunch of 16-digit codes :p

I'll report back later when I've played through a bunch and thrown a few stars in N-Europes direction ;D

Here's an ID for Wigglers World, it's version 3 of a level I've been tinkering with for a few weeks, it's easier and more fun than the original but if you wanna check that out it's labelled as Wiggler's Health & Safety Coaster.

There's one other level of mine called Bouncing Koopa Field you should check out. The rest are just experimental crap really that I wouldn't suggest playing :p

I've been having a lot of fun on the N-E levels, certainly breathed some new life into the game :D

I should have guessed already but RedShells levels are awesome. That new Zelda level is so good, I can't imagine how long that'd take to make.

And @Guy - I loved your underwater level, the bullet bills chasing you throughout the level really adds to the tension!

I'll be sure to check out some more the next time I'm on but it's certainly opened my eyes to a lot more design ideas.

Thanks dude, I really need to jump back onto this game and give it some more time. Loads of people's levels to catch up on.

I really wish on the following screen there was a quick stat.. a completion flag showing how many of their levels you have played and how many they have in total, would make playing new levels a lot easier. Or even have a little notification pop up "playerx has a new course available for you to play!"

I have donated, but don't worry about playing any of my levels. You have a typo on the page by the way:

This is part of a global even called Extra Life

Good luck on the day by the way!

Right! The first of my new Bonus levels is up now!

I am currently making more Bonus levels, but feel free to have a crack at this one right now :)

Just a heads up that I've reuploaded all my levels, now with added checkpoints and Context-senesitive items. (Sensitive to context? Clever!)

So if anyone found some of my levels a bit too tricky, not that I expect anyone to actually not be able to do these if they tried, you can try them out now.

Here's the code to my new 1-1.

I am still working on World 6, it's half done.

Right, so Bonus 3, 4 and 5 are out now! :D

Bonus 5 is really mainly a bit of an in-joke. I actually made it a while ago, but I wanted to upload something else first before getting it out. Most people won't get it, but if by some small chance you do; yes, the sound clip is taken straight from the original video ;)

And another Bonus level is now up!

Probably gonna be my last Bonus level for a while now. Next time I make some levels, I think I'm gonna carry on with my normal ones.

This one is a nice, devious puzzle level. Good luck with this one, MWAHAHAHAHA!!

It only took a month, but my World 6 is finally up!

There's a bit of a theme with this one, combining 2 enemies to make things a tad more dangerous.

Just like all my previous levels, there's a hidden 1-up Mushroom in each level.

6-3's 1-up is one I'm particularly proud of.

Another new world from me. This one is full of autoscroll shenanigans!

Just like always, there's a hidden 1-up in each level.

Oh, and in case anyone asks about 7-4's name...

Yes, that was intentional.

Yes, it's immature.

No, I'm not even remotely sorry for it.
