Cube Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Now we have a list of characters and actors, it's worth a thread. For those that don't know, this film is about a bunch of DC villains who are forced to work for a secret agency (I only know about it through Arrow). This is in the same universe as Man of Steel and Batman Vs Superman. Here's the cast list: Jared Leto – The Joker Will Smith – Deadshot Tom Hardy – Rick Flagg Margot Robbie – Harley Quinn Jai Courtney – Boomerang Cara Delevingne – Enchantress http://variety.com/2014/film/news/suicide-squad-cast-revealed-jared-leto-to-play-the-joker-will-smith-is-deadshot-1201368867/
MindFreak Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 That's a damn solid line-up! Leto as Joker? Why not! Shame that this isn't tied in with the one from Arrow / The Flash.
Shorty Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 ^ Oh TV is TV and movies is movies and never the twain shall meet. Innit. Margot Robbie will be an amazing Harley Quinn. She practically had the voice right already in Wolf of Wall Street.
MindFreak Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Yah, I know - I just want to see more of them!
Agent Gibbs Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Will Smith? really? he doesn't do sequels does he? so that means even if this is good he probably won't be on bored and Tom Hardy going from A list villain Bane to Rick Flagg a Z list? thats odd
Shorty Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Will Smith? really? he doesn't do sequels does he? Men In Black 2 and 3? Bad Boys 2?
Agent Gibbs Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Men In Black 2 and 3? Bad Boys 2? He supposedly turned down Independence day 2 because he doesn't do sequels anymore, and i'm sure he said similar in an interview abiout I Am Legend “Probably not. Producers are working on ['I Am Legend 2']. I’m not actually working on it. If it’s great, I’m into it. [but] I don’t want to be the sequel guy. I figure I’ve got about six or seven more years where I can run and jump a little bit and then I’m going butt and gut for the rest of my career. Butt and gut.” http://screenrant.com/will-smith-i-am-legend-2-ryanz-179598/ that was the last info i read on him But looking at his upcoming work, Bad Boys 3, Hancock 2....gotta pay for those crazy kids i suppose! they must need specialist care
Cube Posted December 3, 2014 Author Posted December 3, 2014 He supposedly turned down Independence day 2 because he doesn't do sequels anymore, and i'm sure he said similar in an interview abiout I Am Legend He probably didn't want to say that Independence Day 2 is almost certainly going to be a stinking pile of shit.
Daft Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 He doesn't do sequels? Well there's a reason why it's called Suicide Squad.
Agent Gibbs Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Deadshot never misses his target! and by the end of the movie he's gunning for his inner demons :p
liger05 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I hope Joker isnt in the squad. It makes no sense for Joker to be part of the suicide squad as his too much of a wild card. Joker cant be trusted to work part of a team and his more likely to kill another member or botch a mission than follow orders. Make more sense for him to be the villain which the squad is being sent to take out or used in a way to explain how Harley Quinn came to become a part of the suicide squad.
Daft Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I would be absolutely stunned if he was in the squad. It'll probably be similar to Assault on Arkham, which I recommend to everyone.
Daft Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 (edited) A shot of most the cast. Alright so from top left: David Ayer (the beloved thug-looking director who's the only one that's not smiling among these villains) Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg) Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc) - Mr Ecko from Lost, if anyone remembers. Jay Hernandez (El Diablo) Jai Courtney (Boomerang) Viola Davis (Amanda Waller) Adam Beach (Ravan) Jim Parrack (Deathstroke) Ike Barinholtz (Hugo Strange) Down front from left: Will Smith (Deadshot) Karen Fukuhara (Plastique) Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn) Cara Delevingne (Enchantress) Missing: Jared Leto (Joker) Scott Eastwood (Steve Trevor) Raymond Olubowale (King Shark) Edited April 9, 2015 by Daft
Shorty Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Is Jim Parrack as Deathstroke confirmed? He's pretty young for the role.... Damn Robbie is stunning/perfect for this role.
Daft Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Not confirmed but all signs point to yes. They're going for a 'younger' Deathstroke apparently. Which lines up with what's happened in the comics recently, I guess.
Ashley Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Barinholtz is in this? Will be weird seeing him in something serious. Psyched though.
Happenstance Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Its going to be interesting seeing Deathstroke in this after Arrow did a brilliant job with him on tv.
Daft Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 I think the forehead tattoo looks stupid. The rest, I don't mind.
Daft Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Wierdly it's growing on me. The forehead tattoo could be too much but it's pretty Charles Manson, so that's kind of cool... It's just very different. Shockingly different. I could learn to love it. I just hope Harley isn't too metal.
drahkon Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 I need to see this without that stupid expression on his face. And of course he had to be half naked, because it's Jared Leto Yeah, he's hot...we get it.
Shorty Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 I just can't imagine a Joker that sits in a chair for hours getting tattooed.... Like "hi! Yeah Id really like it to say ha ha ha ha..." I kinda hoped they'd go a fairly psycho/sophisticated route, this guy just looks like he's in a band.
