Retro_Link Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 (PS4, Xbox One, Wii U eshop, PC) Uses the Rayman Legends engine. Single player/Co-op RPG, can here IGN taking about it here: http://uk.ign.com/videos/2013/09/10/why-we-love-ubisofts-child-of-light-and-valiant-hearts
Guy Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Looks gorgeous. The RPG combat dampens my enthusiasm a little though.
Ronnie Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Looks gorgeous. The RPG combat dampens my enthusiasm a little though. Exactly what I was going to say. Other than that looks fantastic.
Rummy Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Reckon this might do pretty well for them as a downloadable title. Also reckon I'd most likely pick it up for my Wii U depending on its pricing. Possibly need to know a bit more about the battle system, but seems intriguing enough.
D_prOdigy Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Looks very much inflected by something like Trine. The thing about those properly slow-paced games is that they need a clearly defined hook. Trine pulls it off with its puzzles. Maybe Child of Light will rely on the combat system. The game will wear thin fairly quickly if all it can fall back on is 'looks pretty and whimsical'.
Ashley Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 UbiArt really intrigues me. I hope they do release it as an open source framework like they said they might a while ago.
D_prOdigy Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Intriguing that's it's not on 360/ps3? It is.......
Phube Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 It is....... Oh, I was only going by the OP!
Retro_Link Posted September 11, 2013 Author Posted September 11, 2013 Oh, I was only going by the OP!I was going by the end of the trailer :p
D_prOdigy Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Ahhh, that's really weird. The trailer via mentions all the consoles at the end anyway. Dunno why they differ like that.
Retro_Link Posted May 1, 2014 Author Posted May 1, 2014 (edited) I don't like the 2.5D redesign they've suddenly made to the lead character! she now looks a bit out of place in the game and seems to have a few issues with the dress... The rest looks amazing though. Edited May 1, 2014 by Retro_Link
paraplan Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Actually surprised that nobody is playing it in the thread. Im a few hours in. I think it is quiet good, playing it on hard and combat keeps me engaged. Deffently worth the price.
Daft Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Picked this up on the PS4 but not had a chance to play it yet. Want to play it co-op the whole way through. Couldn't resist picking it up. All the reviews bar Edge's (which made some dumb points) were pretty positive.
dazzybee Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I'll definitely pick it up over the summer. Or if it has a sale!
Jimbob Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I've picked up the PS4 edition, got the codes at home. Saving it for the bank holiday. It does look great from the reviews i've seen.

Ike Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I also bought it (Wii U). I have also not got round to playing it.
MindFreak Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I've picked it up on Wii U but was split between Xbox 360 and Wii U. I do like achievements but due to the off-tv mechanics of Wii U, I've played more on this than Xbox as of late. There aren't any differences between the versions?
Rummy Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 When did it come out? What's the price? Need to really catch up with some of the info about this.
Rummy Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Oh. I thought it was like sub-tenner. I'll check some reviews and the Wii U features and maybe give it a look in. Thanks.
