The new tracks are fantastic and seriously beautiful. I tried a few races last night with the weather off and forgot just how good this game looked in the daytime and dry.

Seriously tempted to get the season pass now. What other updates will be coming and are any more tracks planned for the future?

They are planning on releasing more content each month, including events.

Liking the new multiplayer mode time trial, about a 10 limit time limit to set your fastest lap against everyone else in the lobby. Gets pretty tense.

I'm really struggling with the hyper cars and can't win a race with them. Whenever I break hard, the car just turns almost 180 and acts all flimsy. If I go slower and break a bit more gently into the corner, I'm at the back of the pack anyway. What's the best way to drive them?

Hyper cars I normally go flat out until the braking point. Brake brake hard. Don't turn and brake. Ease into the corner and then when coming out the corner gently back on the throttle.

Also I've said it before but change your view to the one where its slammed to the floor and can't see any of the car if your not doing so already. You'll hit your breaking points and Apex's much easier and you won't try and counter the car as you can't see what the back end is doing.

Not in the rain, that is for sure. Tried a few laps using a Hyper car on the new Japanese tracks in the wet, failed miserably.

Does anyone else have issues with sound when playing this online? A few times now when I've been in an online race, there's suddenly a pop noise and then there's no sound at all (even in the PS menu :blank:). :shakehead Once this happens I need to close the game (at which point there's another pop) and then the sound comes back. ::shrug:

Only happens with Driveclub, and only when playing online. :hmm:

Not had that issue before, but seeing as i've not taken the game online that may explain that. Downloading the new content ready for when i get home this evening.

This Is What It Feels Like to Go Really Fast in DriveClub on PS4

Fast and furious

Before the game's horrendous online issues, DriveClub was forced to face serious criticism for its decision to run at 30 frames-per-second. It's a conversation that doesn't pop up quite so often anymore, and this video of a forthcoming vehicle moving at 242MPH perhaps evidences why – the sense of speed is terrifying.

There's no word on what the car in question actually is yet, but it'll apparently be added to the exclusive later this month. We have to say, between implementing new vehicles, events, and features, the post-launch support for Evolution Studios' racer has been excellent – it always feels like there's something new to do, even several months since its release.

Evolution’s Paul Rustchynsky has confirmed on Twitter that update 1.11 is now available worldwide for Driveclub, with the file size measuring in at 750mb. The download is required to install if you want to play online, with the update itself bringing quite a few new additions to the PS4 exclusive racing game. This includes a new multiplayer mode called Team Time Trial, as well as new track variants for Japanese track Kobago.

Update 1.11:

* Adds a new Multiplayer game mode: Team Time Trial.

* Adds a new track offering 2 variants: Kobago in Japan.

* All add-on Tours have new progress requirements: You need 8 Stars (previously 12) to progress to the second stage and 22 Stars (previously 27) to open up the final Championship.

* Adds the ability to choose from a collection of factory Paint Jobs during vehicle selection prior to an Event.

* Adds the option to enable the Rev Counter in cockpit view.

* Decreases the threshold on the manumatic downshift limiter to allow players to downshift earlier.

* Reduces the drying time for rain splatter on the screen when in Chase Cam.

* Implements ghosting under certain conditions in Multiplayer races to prevent track blocking.

* Allows the ‘Contender’ and ‘Unbeatable’ Trophies to be unlocked even if the challenges expire when you are not online.

* Includes a number of minor bug fixes, performance improvements and usability tweaks.

Update 1.11 Add-ons (coming to PlayStation®Store Feb 24-26):

* Adds support for the VUHL 05, coming to PlayStation®Store as a free download.

* Adds support for the DOWNFORCE Expansion Pack, coming to PlayStation®Store as a premium/Season Pass add-on.

* The Downforce Car Pack includes: Ferrari F50, Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Centennial Edition, SRT Viper GTS, Koenigsegg One:1 and Jaguar F-Type R Coupé.

* The Downforce Tour Pack includes 11 new Events and 5 new Trophies.

* Adds support for the Midnight Tour Pack, coming to PlayStation®Store as a premium/Season Pass add-on.

* The Midnight Tour Pack includes 11 new Events and 5 new Trophies.

* Adds support for 2 new livery packs, coming to PlayStation®Store as a premium/Season Pass add-on. Each Livery Pack contains 5 new livery patterns to customise your cars with.

If you’re waiting for the Plus edition of Driveclub then you’ll be required to for a while longer, since server work is still needed before the game is at a stage where it could cope with the influx of Plus subscribers. Evolution are also continuing to work on private lobbies, as well as replays though single player replays will likely come before multiplayer ones.

Hnnnnnnnnnng.

I saw the update get added to my downloads and immediately got excited. New tracks? Cars? What could it be?

The post-launch support for this has been brilliant, imo. Every addition or tweak they have made has improved the experience and the game is one of my favourite racers in recent years.

Why can't they admit the PS+ version is not coming out.

Because it is coming out.

In other news as @Jimbob has left my club, I have a space available!

New track is nice. Think I prefer the variant of it/reverse. Seems to work better for me.

Looks great when it's raining and stormy. :D

I also realise that 90% of the time I'm playing this, it's just to stare at how pretty it is.

Still loving the dynamic weather, it's so beautiful to look at. Results in many crashes.

Edit: Sent some club challenges out last night, enjoy. Probably will get beaten quite easily, but hey ho.

Not tried the replay feature yet, but sounds like it's a great addition. Especially with photo mode, which i've never been able to get a perfect photo.
