Killed the sword bearer and sword swung over the bridge, found a couple of good hiding places to take out enemies until the ogres arrived and took them out. Deathsinger was really easy, did that one first go (the longest part was killing enough mobs after to set off the checkpoint - got shards of course). I haven't tried Crota and I don't think I can be bothered because it actually looks like effort. Soloing the first two bits on hard is easy. Deathsinger is again too much effort for me to bother with, especially since it only drops once regardless of which difficulty you do it on. Stupid fucking joke raid. Shorty Posted January 25, 2015 Share Posted January 25, 2015 The rest of HM sounds like an absolute joke. Just the laziest update of all time. I don't want to be done with this game because I really appreciate all the socialising I've had from it for the last 6 months but I'm not sure I can continue with it anymore. Eddage Posted January 25, 2015 Share Posted January 25, 2015 To be honest once you've got armour that regens health when you pick up an orb and perhaps either Suros Regime or Red Death so you can regen health when killing an enemy, not being able to heal against Crota isn't much of a big deal. Titans can also heal themselves by using one of their bubbles (which in turn creates orbs for others to heal with). We found the main issues with him being annoying things like the swordbearer fucking off and hiding meaning we couldn't kill him in time or Crota getting up and killing the sword carrier within half a second of glowing orange meaning you had no chance to retreat to a safe spot - those are the two random occurrences that were really pissing us off I seem to remember running into these same "oh we're never going to do it" thoughts with both VOG and normal Crota, just gonna take a little bit of practice to get it down! Agent Gibbs Posted January 25, 2015 Share Posted January 25, 2015 The thing is its all about a strategy and once you've got that down they all become easy.....but thats also half the problem, its a very very specific strategy on the raids one of Bungies design, and f you find another way bungie patches it out because you aren't following their vision..... Especially after seeing it get two-manned. @Shorty @Dan_Dare Reckon we could work this? Morgan and I were discussing it yesterday. I'm wondering if having less people might be an advantage; more mobile, less chance of one death throwing a spanner in the works, less splash-damage death from boomers aiming at someone near you. We'd have to work out a set-up that would give us the maximum amount of super orbs. Everyone would need a means to health-regen, too. Not sure if which primary weapons are better. Bad juju for reduce super energy cooldown + free ammo per kills or Hawkmoon for extra damages or fatebringer for firefly.
