Happenstance Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I see the Rock has now confirmed he will be playing Black Adam in Shazam.
Daft Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I was a little disappointed he wasn't playing Shazam but he'll be a great Black Adam. Hopefully this is an indication that Warner and DC are committed to making the villains just as great as the heroes. Have Lex and Black Adam feature across films. ย I would still love to see a Teen Titan film with Deathstroke. ...and call it Young Justice.

Cube Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 http://www.denofgeek.us/books-comics/supergirl/238819/producer-denies-supergirl-tv-series-rumors ย The rumours aren't true. ย I think that Molly Quinn could actually do a good job playing a TV Supergirl. While her character in Castle isn't always written well, she is a good actor when she is. She also supposedly did a good job voicing Supergirl in Superman Unbound.

bryanee Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Official press release ย Warner Bros. Details Strategic Content Plans at Time Warner Investor Conference ย (October 15, 2014 โ Burbank, CA) โ Today at a Time Warner investors meeting, Warner Bros.โ Chairman and CEO Kevin Tsujihara outlined an aggressive content strategy for the Studio aimed at increasing profits while โdoubling down on outstanding content, working with the best talent and maintaining the culture that makes Warner Bros. so great.โ ย โThe demand for high quality video content is growing fast โ in the United States and around the world โ as new technologies have created new platforms and millions of new connected consumers,โ said Tsujihara. โThe opportunity is huge. And no studio is better positioned to take advantage of it than Warner Bros.โ ย As part of his presentation, Tsujihara announced a bold expansion of the industryโs broadest theatrical slate, built around the largest, most important global franchises. Warner Bros. Pictures will release three LEGO-branded films over the next four years, building upon the enormous success of this yearโs โThe LEGO Movieโ ($468 million worldwide box office), starting with โNinjagoโ in 2016, directed by Charlie Bean and produced by Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Batman will take a star turn in โThe LEGO Batman Movieโ in 2017, directed by Chris McKay, and the sequel, โThe LEGO Movie 2,โ will debut in 2018. ย The Studio will release three pictures, in 2016, 2018 and 2020, based on best-selling author J.K. Rowlingโs original story and screenwriting debut, โFantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.โ Set in an extension of her familiar wizarding world, featuring magical creatures and characters inspired by Harry Potterโs Hogwarts textbook and its fictitious author, Newt Scamander, โFantastic Beastsโ will be directed by David Yates, who directed the last four Harry Potter movies, and reunite the filmmaking team of David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram. ย And, in a massive expansion of the Studioโs DC Entertainment-branded content, Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema will release a slate of at least 10 moviesโas well as stand-alone Batman and Superman filmsโfrom 2016 through 2020 that expands this prized universe of characters: ย โBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,โ directed by Zack Snyder (2016) โSuicide Squad,โ directed by David Ayer (2016) โWonder Woman,โ starring Gal Gadot (2017) โJustice League Part One,โ directed by Zack Snyder, with Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams reprising their roles (2017) โThe Flash,โ starring Ezra Miller (2018) โAquaman,โ starring Jason Momoa (2018) โShazamโ (2019) โJustice League Part Two,โ directed by Zack Snyder (2019) โCyborg,โ starring Ray Fisher (2020) โGreen Lanternโ (2020) ย On the television front, Warner Bros. Television Group is the undisputed industry leader, providing 32 shows to the five broadcast networks and an overall roster of more than 60 shows among network, cable, first-run syndication and animation. WBTVG will grow its leadership across multiple fronts, including cable, premium platform and kids programming as well as further its precedent-setting activities in SVOD and international television production and format sales. ย Among the Studioโs programs are network TVโs #1 entertainment series in โThe Big Bang Theoryโ and #1 unscripted series in โThe Voice,โ as well as favorites such as โArrow,โ โThe Flash,โ โGotham,โ โThe Middle,โ โMom,โ โPretty Little Liars,โ โThe Vampire Diaries,โ โThe Bachelorโ franchise, โThe Ellen DeGeneres Showโ and many more. ย For Turner, Warner Horizon Televisionโs โRizzoli & Islesโ and Warner Bros. Televisionโs โMajor Crimesโ are two of the top three scripted series on all of basic cable for 2014, and the #1 and #2 shows, respectively, on TNT. The Studio has a number of future projects set up at TNT, including a pilot production order for an untitled drama set in the unpredictable world of the Florida cocaine trade in the 1970s, from Jerry Bruckheimer, Michael Bay and Michelle Ashford, and is in development on โTitans,โ from Academy Award-winner Akiva Goldsman and Marc Haimes, based upon the DC Comics characters. ย At HBO, WBTVโs first series for the premium television company, the critically acclaimed โThe Leftovers,โ debuted this summer and has already been picked up for a second season. WBTV has also produced the pilot โWestworld,โ from executive producers J.J. Abrams, Jonathan Nolan, Jerry Weintraub and Lisa Joy, and starring Sir Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris and Evan Rachel Wood, and has a number of other projects in development at the company. ย Warner Bros. Animation is producing new series based on the Studioโs iconic brands, such as the upcoming โBe Cool Scooby-Doo!โ and โThe Tom and Jerry Show.โ WBAโs โTeen Titans Go!โ ranks as the #1 show in its timeslot against all kidsโ networks. ย For the first time ever, Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Distribution has licensed the exclusive subscription-video-on-demand (SVOD) rights to one of televisionโs most successful series ever, WBTVโs โFriends,โ to Netflix in the U.S. and Canada. Starting January 1, 2015, Netflix members will have access to the entire 236 episode run of the series, which is still an enormous linear hit on cable (Nick at Nite and TBS) and in broadcast syndication. ย Worldwide Television Distribution has also sold the off-network SVOD rights to the hit Warner Bros. Television series โPerson of Interestโ to Netflix in the United States. The first three seasons of the series, which currently airs on CBS, will be made available to subscribers in fall 2015, at the same time the series premieres off-network on WGN America. ย These two deals are just the latest examples of how the Studioโs hit series continue to serve as annuities for decades beyond their initial broadcast. Further increasing the value of Warner Bros.โ library, since 1999, WBTVG has developed and produced 20 series that have reached the 100-episode milestone or will do so during the 2014โ15 season. ย โAt Warner Bros., we are united to not only continue to create the worldโs greatest entertainment content, but to over-deliver on our financial targets,โ said Tsujihara. โIโve been with the company for over 20 years and I canโt remember a time when Iโve felt more confident about our future. Weโre committed to maintaining and enhancing the great legacy of Warner Bros., the worldโs most iconic and profitable studio.โ
bryanee Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 MY GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWD. I am pumped. ย
Daft Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Individually they look kind of drab but together, they look pretty fucking cool. ย Three more to go.
Cube Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Is that tattoo design (the triangle one) coincidentally something Aquaman has had before, or did they choose the design because Momoa already has one with that design?
Retro_Link Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Can't help thinking lighten up a little with these character designs.

Shorty Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Is that tattoo design (the triangle one) coincidentally something Aquaman has had before, or did they choose the design because Momoa already has one with that design? ย Aquaman normally has a top with scales all over, not tattoos, this is a different direction. Incidentally Momoa's real tattoo is actually mostly covered up.
Retro_Link Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Some of the images are greyed out. True. It still all seems very serious.
bob Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 DC has always been a bit super serial compared to Marvel. I think it works for Batman, but not much with others.
Ramar Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Can't help thinking lighten up a little with these character designs. ย They've ran out of colours. Just got the crappy greys and browns left I'm afraid.
Ashley Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 True. It still all seems very serious. ย Well if the world was doomed I'd like them to take it seriously and to preferably not think the answer is to just nuke the place
Retro_Link Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Well if the world was doomed I'd like them to take it seriously and to preferably not think the answer is to just nuke the place Still less destruction than Man of Steel
Happenstance Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 I still have very little faith in this. Seems like they are rushing to include too much, too quickly and I dont think Snyder is good enough at all.
Ashley Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Least it felt like there was an impact. Considering how the government were so keen to nuke New York you'd think there was some huge problem. Afterwards everyone went out for shwarma so it can't have been that bad (or the heroes aren't really fond of offering with the cleanup )
bryanee Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 I still have very little faith in this. Seems like they are rushing to include too much, too quickly and I dont think Snyder is good enough at all. ย I wouldn't call 3 years from announcement to release rushing. I'm sure they have this planned out properly and the likes of Aquaman and Cyborg are more than likely going to be brief cameos to set up JL.

I'm sure they have this planned out properly and the likes of Aquaman and Cyborg are more than likely going to be brief cameos to set up JL. ย I mean rushing more like they are so desperate to create the type of Universe that Marvel spent years building that they are introducing too many characters in just one movie.
