Retro_Link Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 (edited) Great producers and Nick Frost! (Though I find it a little difficult to get excited about a film centered around a bunch of chavs!) ... You Get Me? Edited March 4, 2011 by Retro_Link
Dan_Dare Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 (edited) That looks amazing. Directed by Joe Cornish of Adam and Joe fame, so you know it has to be sick. Edited March 4, 2011 by Dan_Dare
gaggle64 Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 This... actually looks quite good. I really like the idea of an alien invasion from the point of view of some average urban kids in a typical estate, as opposed to a group of marines on a spaceship or something similar. If they can build proper tension and avoid too many "Durr hurr chavie chavs"-type jokes I think we could be on to something promising.
flameboy Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 isn't this written or directed by Joe Cornish of Adam and Joe fame?!
Hamishmash Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Indeed. Joe Cornish is a hero (can't wait for the Tintin movie he help script, and Ant Men) so insta-watch. Looks great! A bit like Dead Set.

Fierce_LiNk Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Hahahahahahaahah. Nick Frost does seem really out of place though in that trailer. Looks like it could be a laugh.
ReZourceman Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Was just watching this on the BBCs best programme (Film 2011, fucking awesome show) Joe Cornish is king and from the very few bits they showed, I think it looks utterly fantastic, not least because of the realistic dialogue, good effects and seemingly interesting direction!

The Lillster Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 So is this film to do with the Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy?
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Looks fairly decent, but the accent! Oh, god, the accent!
Fierce_LiNk Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Looks fairly decent, but the accent! Oh, god, the accent! It adds to the hilarity of it, blud.
jayseven Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I'm a fan of the pegg/frost movies! Typically they star in satirical genre pastiches that are worth a dry heave of laughter here and there. Clearly it's very low budget, which will reflect in a lot of poor acting and off delivery with lines but the novelty should carry this film a fair way. Frost's role is hugely downplayed, and in general the trailer gives little away of the plot (even if the story is fairly obvious) so I think I'll put it on my "will watch if and when I have money to do so" list.

flameboy Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 You're welcome Sorry! I wrote that before you had posted and then obviously didn't click "submit reply" I cooked dinner came back and just hit it without knowing you had already replied since opened the thread...
Beast Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 It looks pretty cool. Chavs getting attacked by the aliens...and Frost is in it too! ....who here's hoping the aliens will win?
The Mad Monkey Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Looks good, much better than the cliched Battle LA.
