Dan_Dare Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I've just seen this. Trololololololol err...should make this a thread....oh yeah! funny headlines! GO!
Ashley Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 There's one for some (presumably local) paper on one of those billboardy things down the road that says: OVERWEIGHT POLICE WON'T BE HYPNOTISED Apparently referring to this.
ReZourceman Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 This thread just went Digivolved from Ultimate into Mega.
Jonnas Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Despite the lack of pun, this headline always got a laugh out of me
Mr_Odwin Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 (edited) More caption than headline, but whatever. Edited February 2, 2011 by Mr_Odwin
Dyson Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Also... is she not holding a cigarette? Double win!
Goafer Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 (edited) Not a headline or caption, but a rather interesting article about Staffordshire councillor, Ramon Mycock: One unsung hero of last week's local government elections was Staffordshire councillor Ramon Mycock, whose name seemed to cause sniggering wherever it was e-mailed. Councillor Mycock, who was re-elected as the representative for Churnet Valley, looks debonair on his council web page thanks in no small measure to his eyepatch. But someone at the council is obviously not amused by the whole thing and has changed Mr Mycock's listing to Barrie. Not only is his name is Ramon Mycock, but he also has one eye and wears a black eyepatch on the other. You couldn't make this shit up. Edited February 3, 2011 by Goafer
ReZourceman Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Also... is she not holding a cigarette? Double win! I thought that was the whole point....I didn't see a first gag.
Jonnas Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 I thought that was the whole point....I didn't see a first gag. "Lady is worried about the effect of jackhammers on her unborn child. Official says 'Wait for the end result'" Nothing too big. But the cigarette was the funny part, yes.
Ganepark32 Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 I'm sure I heard about a headline in an Irish paper a few years back that was as follows: Cork Man Drowns Made me laugh when I heard it anyway.
Dan_Dare Posted February 3, 2011 Author Posted February 3, 2011 The best I've ever heard was about a research expedition to the Arctic lead by a one Dr. Fuchs which read Dr Fuchs off to Arctic
