Happenstance Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Gravity Rush is the best game the Vita has to offer. After Persona 4 Golden
Sheikah Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Yeah Gravity Rush is nowhere near the level P4. I enjoyed GR but it had some quality issues (the overworld being a husk of a town with low res textures and shallow NPCs being my main gripe).
Happenstance Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Does anyone know how far into development Gravity Rush was before it shifted from a PS3 to Vita title? If there was a bit of work done first for PS3 then it will be interesting to see the sequel given that it'll be fully focused from the beginning on the Vita.
Josh64 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 I was having so much fun on this but then came up to Chapter 10, with all the mushrooms in space. What an awful, awful level. I don't know if I can bring myself to finish it Will try again later!
Magnus Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 You're awful. It's such an easy game, too. Buy some upgrades if you're struggling. :p
Josh64 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 I keep falling off the mushrooms and my cat is half dead so the upgrades won't do anything for this level :p I think I'm just not in the mood to play, I'll try again after some relaxing Animal Crossing fishing or something :p And here's just a general PS Vita question - Is there any way to get things to install quicker? I've downloaded Katamari and now it just says 'waiting to install'. This happened on quite a few other things before, they'd just wait to install for like a day after downloading 100%
Happenstance Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Thats never happened to me. On everything I have downloaded once its finished it will start installing, if the screen is off then it will just install when I turn it back on.
Cube Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 If you tap the notification, it should install.
Choze Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Tearaway was awesome at the show. Loved the demo.
Sheikah Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 So there's a deal going with the Vita at the moment using the £20 off Tesco Direct voucher. Vita 3G + Wifi with the 10 game pack + 8GB memory card (which contains): Little Big Planet Wipeout 2048 MotorStorm RC Little Deviants Frobisher Says! With Frobisher Says! fun pack Ecolibrium with Ecolibrium Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum game packs, Ratchet and Clank Size Matters Lemmings Hungry Giraffe Rotating Octopus for £149: LINK Even more with cashback. Brilliant price really.
Ronnie Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Never thought I would be tempted to get a Vita but that bundle looks really good and I fell in love with Tearaway at Eurogamer. Big fan of the Wipeout games too which is also included. Is Little Big Planet any good? Seems popular but not really sure what kind of game it is. Can you download PSP games onto it from the Playstation Store?

Can you download PSP games onto it from the Playstation Store? Yeah LBP is awesome. It runs and looks exactly like the PS3 version which is quite a feat, and has all the network features too. It got a string of 9s and 10s. Getting Persona 4 The Golden is also a rite of passage for Vita users, owing to how awesome it is. And yeah, a shedload of PSP games can be downloaded onto it and work like native. The majority of PS1 games run too. Oh by the way, the Tesco code has expired so it'll be £20 more now (those vouchers never last long, got to jump at them). I'm sure there'll be deals elsewhere though.
Ronnie Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Looking to buy this in the next couple of days (I don't really like the redesign so keen on getting it before the current model is discontinued). Was tempted by the £170 WIFI model on Amazon, don't need 3G, even if it's the same price at Tesco. Just wondering if anyone else came across a better offer/discount code?

You can get one off Shopto for £154.00 with the 8GB memory card and 10 downloadable games. HERE They also have one by itself for £135 HERE
Ronnie Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Thank you, saved me £25, as I also seem to have £10 in points from Shopto
Agent Gibbs Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Welcome to the club! its pretty exclusive! does anything actually use 3G? i've never come across anything that uses it. What good Vita games other than Tearaway are due out "soon"? since Animal crossing has killed all but all my enjoyment for my 3DS i've been playing through Vita games a fair bit, currently doing ninja gaiden 2

V. Amoleo Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Next months PlayStation Plus titles: Oddworld Strangers Wrath MotorStorm RC Pretty 'cheap' titles for the Vita in November. I wonder if it's because of how new the PS3 titles are or if they're just running out of games.
Cube Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 New Vita game announced: Yes, that's a port of the Amazing Spider-man game. Which was far from amazing. The question is....why?
Ike Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Muramasa Rebirth got a stealth PSN release this week: https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-gb/cid=EP1024-PCSB00404_00-OBOROMURAMASA000 Only £20 which ain't bad.

Hero-of-Time Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 I'm slowly working my way through the avalanche of Vita titles that I bought with the machine and decided to start Unit 13 this morning. I'm only on mission 9 but I think its a great little shooter. I don't have to worry about any story and with the game split into 36 missions it's great for a handheld. With the missions having different objectives and with a number if different specialists to use, there is plenty of variety to be had. Pleasantly surprised by this one.
