Stupid bloody game this football. We go from the shittest I've seen us play in years to a completely different class today.

Also was poking round my computer earlier and found a very short clip I took at the Camp Nou back in April, slapped it up on youtube thought I share the windy nose bleeds with you.

Went there in the summer, the seats are hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh. It looks like any wind would make the highest seat holders simply fly away!

Good game for Chelsea today, no goals conceded and a couple of goals scored. Shame Man City and Arsenal also won =[

Bit gutted we conceded that late goal, but guess I would have taken a point at the start of the match, with Tiote and Carroll out, and I certainly would have taken 4 poitns and a 6-2 aggregate at the start of the season. Sunderland seem to have a lot of trouble controlling their fans, they're on the pitch every time we go there and this is the second time recently a Sunderland fan has attacked our keeper, plus rushing our bench a few seasons ago and invading the pitch after the 2-1 win. Could have been worse, one of them dropped a kitchen knife down the steps of the south west corner when they scored.

I just stumbled onto this vid;

I totally don't remember it happening, but man, Hart can run!

Can't find the video in english, so put up with the "Allah van der saar!" stuff. The music was an added bonus, tbf.

I agree that the 'incident' was shocking. All clubs have their bad fans unfortunately. It being a kid was shocking though.

A ton of the seats were ripped out and chucked at fans today. Saw a young lad take a stadium seat to the head. No need. I'd say it was Newcastle fans chucking seats but what does it matter - Im not here to blame any fans. People are responsible for their own actions. The 'knife' thing wasn't proved as a Sunderland fan but whoever it was, was mental.

Also, shouldn't the Sunderland fan have thanked Harper for parrying the ball?

And if he was 14 where were his folks?

Either way, most clubs have their history of poor fan actions. Hopefully this kind of behaviour can be eradicated from the game. Poor stewarding either way. Banning for life makes it a little better though.

Your fans on the Sunderland forum were having a go at him to be fair, guy who started the thread saw the guy drop it and it was a mackem.

Doesn't seem to happen at St Jame's Park, the stewarding is pretty abysmal at the SoL. Last time I went the turnstile operators were letting two people in on one click in front of me for a £20 bung and the stewards were too busy celebrating themselves at the end to stop people invading the pitch. it's all very well saying it's both sets of fans, but when was Newcastle's last derby pitch invasion? That's Given, Harper and Joe Kinnear all confronted by arseholes, how many Sunderland players and managers have been accosted on the pitch?

Happy with the draw against spurs. Tough place to go these days.

Sending off was laughable but even with 11 men I think it still would have been a draw. Too many of them perhaps so far this season ffor United but it's a strange one the league this year. 2 games in hand still which is good. Need to make the one against Blackpool count.

From ITV News' twitter: Despite internet rumours to the contrary, no one was stabbed after the Merseyside derby this evening, according to Merseyside Police.

They did manage to enforce some rules, former Toon star Tino Asprilla was kicked out of the away end for smoking and a SoL steward who punched the air when we scored had to be escorted from the stadium for his own safety.

David Goodwillie, the Dundee Utd forward has been charged with rape at a New Year's Party. Great young player however with all his problems off the field I don't think he'll ever come to anything. He's constantly out at the weekends boozing at the Fubar (the local club in Stirling, his hometown, where I occasionally go!) and is always in the news for beating people up, sexual assault etc etc.

When most footballers get in the news for things like this I don't believe it, but with him, I'm sad to say that it's very possibly true.

lol, what a moron.

Man City arn't in the same league as Barca. His comments he made about Wilshere are hilarious, Wilshere is a better footballer, and doesn't have a shocking attitude. Really hope Mancini shuts this guy up. You wouldn't think you'd hear this stuff coming out the second best footballer on earth, would you? :indeed:

I was at the game that Goodwillie has scored the late equaliser in (the game he was out celebrating, even though it was a fucking draw.) and the abuse he was getting was unreal. It's gonna be worth the entrance fee alone next time he's up. :heh:

Off to Leeds tomorrow, I'll probably be on my twitter most of the day (link in my sig if anyones bored and want to follow it). Though I don't tweet during games.. and I've had some misfortunes of tweeting at half time too so I'll play that one by ear.

Replays are something the team could do without at the minute. I wouldn't be shocked if we put out a 'weakened' team, which should be capable of winning the tie. But Leeds are battling team so I fully expect them to fight for it and I wouldn't be too surprised if they got a result from us.

I heard Villa were preparing a deal worth £24 million for him...

Aston Villa have smashed their transfer record in signing Sunderland and England striker Darren Bent in a deal which could eventually cost them £24m.

Also Pienaar has gone to Spurs over Chelsea.

WHY DO SPURS NEED HIM???? I Assume they'll off load Jenas now then, as I doubt they'll be letting go of Huddlestone, Modric, VDV

Free kick in the build up to the Leeds goal perhaps?

The tie should been over already, Arshavin and Bendter missing tap ins from about 6 yards out. However 2-1 in front is alright by me by half time. Hope we can get another goal.

EDIT: Van Persie topping off a hard fought win.
