Paj! Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 The Magcargo one is hilarious. I can just imagine it coming out it's ball, and people and land suddenly setting alight and melting.
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 The Magcargo one is hilarious. I can just imagine it coming out it's ball, and people and land suddenly setting alight and melting. I've always been fascinated by the science in the world of Pokémon. Just take Poké Balls, for example - devices capable of tranforming Pokémon into bright energy (no matter size, weight and temperature) and storing this energy in an environment that adjusts to the individual Pokémon. Not to mention the major advancements in computer science - imagine being able to convert any physical object to computer data!
Jonnas Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 The Magcargo one is so blatantly false, it's not even funny. I always liked the theory that it's our trainer character that's making things up when writing on the Pokédex, though.
Paj! Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 It just seems like eally pointless lies though, some of these pokemon would kill the other one in a battle without even meaning to, based on these descriptions. Or at least be a terrible threat to humanity. A pidgeot could just streak past and rip out your throat and no one could do anything. Or a Raticate could topple your office building apparently.
canand Posted May 6, 2010 Author Posted May 6, 2010 I got some great news Disney XD are going to be showing the new movie this month http://uk-tv-guide.com/programme-details/Disney+XD/28+May+2010/16:30/Pok%E9mon%3A+Arceus+and+the+Jewel+of+Life/Film/ and is anyone wacthing the new pokemon GB on Disney XD
chairdriver Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 That assuming all the units of measurement are the same in the Pokemon world. Seeing as a unit of measurement is an arbitrary assigned value it's really plausible that they aren't the same.
Josh64 Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 I'm not sure if this has already been posted but it blew my mind:
Supergrunch Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 That assuming all the units of measurement are the same in the Pokemon world. Seeing as a unit of measurement is an arbitrary assigned value it's really plausible that they aren't the same. The concept of creating a fantasy world that just happens to use exactly the same measurements as us, but then assigns them all different values so descriptions sound more "cool" but are actually unintelligible to anyone from the real world just strikes me as... stupid. I think people are putting far too much thought in.
Debug Mode Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 The most utterly random Pokemon image I've ever came across.
or else you will DIE Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 "THIS ONE LIKES THE MOON SO I NAMED HIM POOPDICK" lol
Debug Mode Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 My personal favourite is "I WANTED TO CALL HIM OMELETTE BUT THAT IS MY RIVALS NAME, SO I CALLED HIM EGG CAUSE HE LOOKS EGGY"
