Goafer Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 So basically it's going to go down a casual route to try and get more people to buy it. Yup pretty much. Ignore the people who have stuck by the series and try to get newbies in. I see it the same as banks who offer introductory offers to new customers when it should be their loyal customers they should be rewarding. I'll still buy it though. I loved Fable, but didn't like Fable 2. Number 2 just ended as the story got good. I'll use the third as a decider, although I don't hold that much hope to be honest.
Jimbob Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Yeah, i'm still going to make this a purchase. Loved the 2nd, completed it 3 times to get all 3 endings (even though i did the glitch to get the 3 on 1 play-through). Just as long as it isn't made too simple, then i should be ok with this.
Murr Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 oh man... it looks amazing, i love the new screenshots from e3. Highest Priority 360 game for me this year...
Jimbob Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Looks impressive. Liking the detail on the wear and tear of Bowerstone.
Jimbob Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Bumpage. I've been watching some of the developer diaries on XBL, and it's more and more making me wish to play this sooner. Release is October this year, anyone else got this pre-ordered.

(depends on my funds!!!)
Jimbob Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Wonder if Lionhead will release something similar to "Pub Games" as a freebee for all pre-orders.
Bren Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Wonder if Lionhead will release something similar to "Pub Games" as a freebee for all pre-orders. They've got an arcade game planned, not sure if its going to be free, but their is one on the way! Dont think its a pub game though.
Jimbob Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 It will be interesting what arcade game they have planned, and if it will be interactive into Fable III like Pub games was with Fable II
Cube Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 (edited) It looks like a trailer for a Dreamworks film inspired by Ratatouille (until the end). Edited August 4, 2010 by Cube
Jimbob Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I'm sparing myself the opening, don't want to spoil it. Lionhead and Microsoft have released a "Villager Creator", and if you have a pre-order code you can add your created villager to the actual game. Apparantly, the villager comes with a quest and 1,000 gold. No word as of yet if the UK pre-orders will allow this to occur
Dante Posted August 5, 2010 Author Posted August 5, 2010 I'm sparing myself the opening, don't want to spoil it. If you like chickens.
nightwolf Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 It looks like a trailer for a Dreamworks film inspired by Ratatouille (until the end). D'aww! It looks stunning I have to say.
Ellmeister Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I don't understand what that trailer showed except cruelty to animals!
Jimbob Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 UK gamers now have access to the Fable III villager maker, according to Lionhead (confirmed at the Gamecon venue i believe). Should be interesting, even has 2 other pieces of pre-order stuff for both the Limited and Standard editions, being a Tatoo and a new Weapon (large hammer of sorts). Anyone else see the Gamecon piece on Fable yesterday??, even though it was only 10 minutes it was informative i thought.
Murr Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 It will be interesting what arcade game they have planned, and if it will be interactive into Fable III like Pub games was with Fable II The Fable 2 Pub Games glitch was great, getting to start the game with a lot of money
Sheikah Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 The Fable 2 Pub Games glitch was great, getting to start the game with a lot of money Glad I didn't, would have made an easy game ever so much easier.
Jimbob Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 There is a mobile app coming October 1st, for Smartphones. Basically it is along the lines of "Pub Games", make money and transfer over to the main game. (i'm surprised there isn't much chatter on this (the game in general))

Jimbob Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 (edited) Haha, excellent. Liking the "Predator" styled achievement as well. As always, Lionhead have a sense of humour. I see i shall be spending a lot of time in Albion/Aurora. And this time around, i will attempt a 100% completion (unlike Fable II) Edit: Just seen the "Trading" achievement. Crap, just as long as it isn't 1 per game. Edited September 28, 2010 by Jimbob
Cube Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 It seems that the "Pub Games" for this Fable is a mobile game. It's a real-location game (i.e. using the gps on your phone to "claim" land) and will only be available in Europe. Android version is out sometime today. iPhone version in a couple of days and a Windows Phone 7 version will be out when the Windows Phone 7 is out. I don't know if it'll cost anything, but I'll give it a try.
Rummy Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 The Fable 2 Pub Games glitch was great, getting to start the game with a lot of money Didn't they say there were going to be repercussions for those that used the glitch, though? I still haven't actually finished Fable II. Still want this though. Shame about the smartphone app, as I'm barely rocking polyphonics, so meh.

Cube Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 I think people who did it just got corrupt points.
