Personally what i'd like to get (probably doubtful in any way will get) from E3 is;

Goldeneye/Perfect Dark/Jet Force Gemini XBLA announcement.

Mass Effect 2 info

AvP3 info and to that end some idea of what happened to Aliens: Colonial Marines.

GTA IV DLC info

Zelda info

New Super Mario Bros. game announcement. One that is actually difficult (c'mon, do it, do it nawwww)

Star Wars: Battlefront 3 info.

Timesplitters 4 info.

Admittedly some of those are highly unlikely but, it is E3 at the end of the day stranger things have happened.

Don't think I've said it yet but I'd just like a standard platformer. Hell I would actually love it if E3 had nothing but 1 announcement that Naughty Dog were going to make another Crash Bandicoot game. I love them so much.

I think it's cause I was left wanting a challenge after galaxy and I want something that doesn't have loads of guns and gore. Just good old jumping, timing, puzzles and maybe a few gadgets/powerups thrown in.

Have you tried de Blob? Or if you're looking for something a little more old skool, there's Klonoa.

Well I don't have a Wii now, although I don't like the look of either of those. Crash is just way cooler

This is a surprise, it would appear that there is actually some truth behind the 'PSThree' rumours. The shots could be fake but it seems like quite a bit of effort to go to; they could have just started a no-name Twitter account and the internet would handle the rest.

Assuming it's real I find this redesign pretty interesting. First off it seems that there is at least a mild form of rebranding going on, the ill-advised Spider-Man font being replaced by something more in line with the PSP logo — as an aside I expect the PSP Go's logo to be similarly rounded, both machines being pushed as companion products more than ever.

I'm getting very speculative now but if this turns out to be true I wonder if it hints at bigger changes. The unveiling of Microsoft's 3D camera is pretty much inevitable at this point, but perhaps Sony has their own plans for the PSEye? EyePet certainly seemed to be doing some interesting stuff, after all...

That Playstation logo above the disk tray looks a bit too naff. Could be a prototype though.

I'd probably buy a PS3 slim if they did release it.

Impressive, if true, but I wouldn't buy one, I don't use my PS3 that often as it is, good for enticing potential new buyers though.

You wont be able to fit alot of things in that size. Looks like another Chinese NES machine.

In terms of form factor it isn’t that drastically different to the current model; going by the size of the DualShock 3 I’d say there’s something like a 20% reduction in width and fairly negligible nip-tucking elsewhere. I think it’s reasonable to assume that the machine would switch to an external PSU — much like the PSTwo — which would save a chunk of space, and as it will no doubt be using 45nm chipsets that would mean around a 30% reduction in die area and potentially a smaller cooling system.

At the risk of ending up with egg on my face I'm going to call it: PSThree reveal at E3.

All the reports of the new Xbox 360 motion camera are interesting but let us not forget last year and the whole 'Newton' debacle which was widely claimed by a considerably large proportion of the gaming press/industry as well as outsider that it'd be shown at E3 and then there was nothing. Now, I think that Microsoft have been dabbling in the idea of a motion controller and I presume that there may be one at some point but I'm skeptical that it'll appear at E3. Even the Wall Street Journal which has gone on record as saying it's happening are saying it won't be shown at E3. But this is the thing that makes E3 interesting. Rumours fly around and the internet eats them up and so when it comes to the actual show, you have no concrete idea of what's going to happen.

A PSThree is a given at some point but I don't think it'll happen yet. They may have improved the engineering costs of manufacturing the components of the console but I doubt they are low enough to warrant a new iteration of a console which isn't exactly flying off of the shelves worldwide (not a hit at the PS3 as hardware sales have cooled on all formats worldwide). A new iteration probably wouldn't bring that much of an increase in sales figures because I doubt they're able to manufacture the console at a low enough cost to warrant a different price band from the current model.

Unlike you, Choze, I've no desire to get inside my PS3.

On the other hand it does appear I'm only person on the internet that thinks the shots are real. I'm either going to be proved highly perceptive or incredibly idiotic. As I happen to know I'm the latter whatever happens I've nothing to lose!

in actual news:

Nothing from Rockstar.

Rats.

If this is true then the speculation of Microsoft's keynote, including MGS4 and some weird name, etc, is thrown into doubt. I call that bullshit anyway, a random twitter feed... common...

Strange that Rockstar aren't showing anything seeing as they still have another piece of DLC for GTA IV on the 360 scheduled for the Autumn and you'd think they'd at least perhaps show something given the close proximity between E3 and the autumn release. Perhaps they mean that they won't take it upon themselves to have a press conference to show anything but Microsoft will show it during their presser. Who knows. Just strange that's all.
