Serebii Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 What I like is this one looks like it has colour The first one was a bit bland colour wise Viva La Renaissance!
dwarf Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Hang on Ryan, don't suppose you could do me another awesome deal?
Ryan Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Not finished it yet, but my local indie shop gave me £30 trade in.
Retro_Link Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 (edited) GT Review - 9.2 I was pretty surprised by their final score! 9.2 for Gameplay?... they pointed out quite a few flaws in it throughout the video for it to get that! From the review, I thought maybe a final score of somewhere in the 8's. Edited November 17, 2009 by Retro_Link
dwarf Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Yeah I just finished watching it and was surprised at that, they slated it throughout.
Fruitgun Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Is this out now?! Looking around on Play.com it definately seems like it, or is it just Play? Gaaahh I need monies.
drahkon Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Too lazy to search so I'll ask: Is the story of part 2 related to the first game? I don't want to play the first one because I think it's boring as hell...
Serebii Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Game have just shipped mine. Should get it tomorrow
Daft Posted November 18, 2009 Author Posted November 18, 2009 Too lazy to search so I'll ask: Is the story of part 2 related to the first game? I don't want to play the first one because I think it's boring as hell... It starts immediately after the first one ends.
drahkon Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 It starts immediately after the first one ends. Meh. Well, maybe I'll buy both games sometime later since I have too many games to play right now.
Daft Posted November 18, 2009 Author Posted November 18, 2009 The best way to play the first Assassin's Creed is with another game on the go. I played it with Mass Effect over about 3 weeks which killed most the repetition and made me appreciated the animation so much more, in contrast to the rigidity of ME.
Dan_Dare Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Reviews are looking strong. Sounds like the tedium has been well and truly quashed. Nice Now I just need to find some cash or, hopefully, swipe a press copy off my connection in London. Fingers crossed.

drahkon Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 The best way to play the first Assassin's Creed is with another game on the go. I played it with Mass Effect over about 3 weeks which killed most the repetition and made me appreciated the animation so much more, in contrast to the rigidity of ME. That's actually a good idea. I still need to finish Mass Effect...maybe I'll get the first AC after finishing Among Thieves and getting the Platinum Trophy.
Aimless Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 I won't go too in-depth yet, but this is a much better game than its predecessor. It starts off really slowly so I expect some people will be left underwhelmed by the first few hours, but once the game has introduced its various features it becomes far more enjoyable. Oh, if you have the option I'd get it on 360. Both versions suffer the odd dip in framerate and some screen tearing, but it's not so prevalent on the Xbox. The performance issues are the one thing marring my experience with the game so anything you can do to lessen them is advised. If you are going to play the game on PS3, turn the in-game brightness level down a notch.
drahkon Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) Probably going to get the first AC and inFamous today so that I can play those games + get the platinum trophy for Uncharted 2 simultaneously. Edit: Just ordered AC 1 and 2 at Amazon. AC 2 costs only 43€ which is more than 20€ cheaper than normal oO And the first one (Platinum Edition) 20€ which is 10€ cheaper. Gotta get those now Edited November 20, 2009 by drahkon
Happenstance Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 My rental arrived this morning so ive been playing it a bit, not far enough into it to give a proper judgement though and compare it to the first game.
Nolan Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 I'm replaying the first game until I can buy this. Figure I'll go for 1000/1000, those flags outta keep me busy until I can get AC2.
Daft Posted November 20, 2009 Author Posted November 20, 2009 Picked this up earlier. I've locked myself in the library for now so won't be able to play it until I get home later. I'm so excited.
Happenstance Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Wow, just had some terrible badguy spawning, I was in the middle of a fight and it was like six more just teleported in next to me.
Daft Posted November 20, 2009 Author Posted November 20, 2009 How do you save? Is there a manual way of doing it?
Happenstance Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 I was looking for one earlier aswell, never did find one so I just save after I see the logo in one of the corners
