EddieColeslaw Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 My famous (in terms of my family) carrot cake! Doesn't look impressive, but it smells nice! I baked it this afternoon and it's already gone :|
ReZourceman Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Carrot Cake is the best kind of cake. Hang on....you didn't put any raisins in did you?
EddieColeslaw Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Carrot Cake is the best kind of cake. Hang on....you didn't put any raisins in did you? I put TEN MILLION BILLION raisins in itnotreally. Do people really put raisins in carrot cake? Doesn't sound good... -- Today's concoction: Hulk smoothie! Ingredients: large handful of baby spinach, a peach, a banana, and enough water for the right consistency. Spinach is the most awesome smoothie ingredient ever, it lends nutrients and colour, but no taste! I'm going to attempt Hong Kong style egg tarts when I get a sieve (my dog ate ours).
ReZourceman Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 I put TEN MILLION BILLION raisins in itnotreally. Do people really put raisins in carrot cake? Doesn't sound good... I've seen it, but yeah...its so wrong. ---- That smoothie looks awesome. ---- Your dog ate a sieve? Did it pass right through him?
EddieColeslaw Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Well, he chewed it up/did everything apart from swallow it. Nevertheless, it's unusable :P
EddieColeslaw Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 But did it pass right through him? Sieve. Yes. He turned into a raisin.
Aneres11 Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 More baking: On a health kick at the min - trying to put weight on. I have always been pretty skinny, looking to start consuming 2500 - 3000 cals a day. Peanut Butter is one of the most calorific things in a small dose. So, as I don't like peanut butter on its own, I have made some peanut butter muffins for a morning / afternoon / evening treat to help get those calories in. And its a sweet treat
nightwolf Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 They remind me of my peanut butter and nutella cakes. I might have to go make some now...

Jimbob Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 Carrot Cake = Awesomeness Hulk Smoothie = Hmm, looks like something "different" Made one of them cupcakes earlier last week, tasted so, so nice. May post a snap.
Aneres11 Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 More baking from me! Its victoria sponge with strawberry jam and fresh cream btw!
Aneres11 Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Does it taste as nice as it looks? Thanks And yeah it was pretty tasty! Though my speciality is lemon cake. Think i'm gonna make one of them this weekend. I made one for work the other week (first time i'd made lemon cake) and everyone was so complimentary and said it was the nicest lemon cake they'd ever tasted! I do love me some baking!
Magnus Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 I miss baking. I used to bake all the time when I lived in a dorm, but baking for my family just isn't as much fun! :p
Aneres11 Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 That has made me feel really hungry. Minus the black pudding and mushrooms and egg. :p Good work though!
The Mad Monkey Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 That has made me feel really hungry. Minus the black pudding and mushrooms and egg. :p Good work though! I know what you mean about black pudding, I never used to like it, but tried it again recently and love it. It's now an essential ingredient for me when doing a big breakfast. I don't have them very often, but just fancied one today and had all the ingredients in so went for it. Stuffed now though, going to have to have a little lie down.
Wesley Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 Forgot to post these I made a few weeks ago Bacon wrapped jalapeno chicken bites Looks so good. I need to make. I presume it's just cream cheese with bits of jalapeno in the middle? I've made it before but with asparagus instead of jalapeno. Never thought of using jalapeno. Yum!
