Roostophe Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I tried some choc spread on mine last night. Sadly, they were bland and an overall waste of pancakes and choc spread. I think I'll stick with the lemon and sugar.
ReZourceman Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Chocolate spread or Nutella? Severe errors could have potentially been made....
Roostophe Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 IT DOESN'T MATTER! [/The Rock] All chocolate spreads taste exactly the same to me. And I've tried them all. :p
ReZourceman Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 All chocolate spreads taste exactly the same to me. And I've tried them all. :p I suppose all African people sound the same as well to you?
Roostophe Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 As a matter of fact they do. I was born racist, I can't help it!
Cube Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 IT DOESN'T MATTER! [/The Rock] All chocolate spreads taste exactly the same to me. And I've tried them all. :p Really? I'm quite amazed that something tastes as bad as Nutella.
Jav_NE Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I like Nutella, have it everyday in my sandwich But not on a pancake. Never. Sugar and lemon is the only way, maybe syrup as a second option, but thats more for american pancakes. My pancakes were so good last night i've been laboured into making them more often, damnit!
EEVILMURRAY Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 But not on a pancake. Never. Sugar and lemon is the only way, maybe syrup as a second option, but thats more for american pancakes. Maple syrup yes for American. Golden Syrup for the UK Massive.
ReZourceman Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Really? I'm quite amazed that something tastes as bad as Nutella. Nutella fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
Eenuh Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Nutella really isn't that nice, there's way better chocolate spreads out there (maybe not in the UK though =P ). But yesss, we had pancakes on pancake day! One of Flinky's housemates made a ton of them, and we were sat in the living room (on the floor, since there is no table) with about 8 people all eating them. Was nice! I had two with sugar (tried a bite of lemon and sugar but didn't like it) and then two with delicious Häagen-Dazs chocolate ice cream and whipped cream. Mmmmmm.
Sheikah Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Nutella is nice because it's not just chocolate, it's hazelnuts too. Which to me tastes lovely, and it's why Kinder Buenos taste great too.
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Don'cha be hatin' on the 'Tella! It's godly stuff! I gotta admit I've never tried it on pancakes, though. I normally just have sugar. Syrup was a little too sticky for me last time I tried it. Lemon is just ... weird ... Damn, I want some pancakes now ...
Coolness Bears Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I'm sorry ReZ but LEMON AND SUGAR is where it is at. really. :p I restricted myself to 2 Pancakes as I wasn't feeling that good but they where piled high with Lemon and Sugar... well mostly sugar! Also had a Big Slice of cake afterwards!
Kirkatronics Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I love pancakes but it has to be with stew, or i cant eat it. Putting sweet stuff on them seems wrong to me.
EEVILMURRAY Posted February 26, 2009 Author Posted February 26, 2009 I love pancakes but it has to be with stew, or i cant eat it.Putting sweet stuff on them seems wrong to me. Just to confirm. Stew for me is brown gravy shizzle with onions [which I don't eat], carrots [which I don't eat], peas [which I don't eat], and other crap, and meat. You put pancakes in this?

Hm, isn't that, like, a burrito or something?
Paj! Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Hm, isn't that, like, a burrito or something? No...Stew is like soup. In a bowl and stuff. Only with more solids. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stew Burrito; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burrito

When we make burritos, it's roughly a pancake with stew ingredients (bar the water) as filling.
