Paj! Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Fake Plastic Trees - Radiohead Call Me - Blondie ------ Match 1:Placebo vs. Eagles Of Death Metal Match 2: Tegan & Sara vs. Fall Out Boy Match 3: Led Zeppelin vs. Avril Lavigne Match 4: Tori Amos vs. HIM Match 5: Come on guys, we need LOADS of votes for this match and Match 5!
Razz Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Hmmm I really didn't know about Fake Plastic Trees, I mean it's a nice song, but to me it feels like there's something missing, just my opinion. Love Call Me because it's so fun.
S.C.G Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Fake Plastic Trees it's a classic Radiohead track and I love it Blondie on the other hand, not so much... :/
Paj! Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 I'm gonna vote Call Me this time, despite voting against it last time, and voting for FPT before. I'm in more of a Blondie mood, despite this not being their best.
Slaggis Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I don't like Radiohead if I'm honest, so Call Me for sure. It's just so much fun.
chairdriver Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Radiohead is musically way better, and much more interesting to listen to, but I've never really felt that attached to it. Thusly, I'm voting Call Me. A good pop song.
Eddage Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Radiohead bore me to tears so I'm gonna go Call Me.
chairdriver Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 I'm going to change my vote to Radiohead, because it's unbelievably lovely when you listen to it with integrated ears, whereas Call Me is not so lovely after like 2 listens.
The fish Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Radiohead - it's this song which changed my mind about them as a band, and has stayed as one of my favourites throughout the years.
Twozzok Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Blondie Dunno why, don't generally get on with Radiohead.
Ganepark32 Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Call Me. Don't really like Radiohead at all and I'm a bit of a fan of Blondie.

It really is a beautiful track I've been meaning to get the album that it's from as I've only heard it through games and on Youtube, I actually have no idea if the rest of the album is as good but it's probably worth it just for that song alone, one album of theirs I do love though is OK Computer as for In Rainbows though... :/ Anyway, so that now makes it... Fake Plastic Trees - 6 Call me - 6

Fake Plastic Trees - 6 Call me - 6 Though I find Radiohead difficult, The Bends is a very good album. (Includes Fake Plastic Trees)
chairdriver Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 In Rainbows is absolutely lovely on my ears - way better than OK Computer IMO.
dan-likes-trees Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Wows I nearly forgot about these warz Uummmmmmmmmmm tricky one. FPT is far from my favourite Radiohead..... Call me is fun though......... ahhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Radiohead kthx In Rainbows is absolutely lovely on my ears - way better than OK Computer IMO. Seconded. Amazing album.
Molly Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 This was quite a tough decision, but it's gonna gave to be Fake Plastic trees, it's a beautiful listen. Call me is fun and I love it, but doesn't cut the mustard in this round.
spenno182 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Radiohead One of my fave Radiohead songs that is
Paj! Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 Fake Plastic Trees - 9 Call me - 6 GO VOTE IN MATCH 7 BASTARDS
S.C.G Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 In Rainbows is absolutely lovely on my ears - way better than OK Computer IMO. Hmm it's not that I dislike In Rainbows, far from it, just that it's a stark contrast from how they were and how they are now, I definitely prefer earlier Radiohead, OK Computer is easily one of my favourite albums, In Rainbows has it's good parts though, hmm maybe I need to listen to it more Idk, generally though I find that if I really love an album after first / second play of it (Ok computer) then well that makes it better for me whereas In Rainbows I feel is more of a 'grower' album, anyway, nice to see some Radiohead love. : peace:
chairdriver Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Most albums I love, I didn't love when I first heard. It took me several months to "get" Rid Of Me by PJ Harvey. Same goes for Homogenic by Bjork. And I had The Con by Tegan and Sara on my computer for about 2 months before I started to listen to it with loving ears. And the albums I do love straight away I usually grow bored of quickly.
