Tellyn Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 It's an eBook, all their other entries are too. I feel sorry for the poor sap who buys that in the belief that they're getting a DS Lite.
flameboy Posted November 1, 2008 Author Posted November 1, 2008 ah right lol...i did actually notice on the description that it said ebook...

Cube Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 yeah....he also has a ton of positive feedback so people will likely flock all over them... 99% of that feedback is so obviously done by himself.
Kirkatronics Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 Its all above board, cant complain if you dont read the description. eBay tell you to make sure you read. Im not saying its acceptable.. but if people are stupid enough to fall for it.
Sheikah Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Its all above board, cant complain if you dont read the description. eBay tell you to make sure you read. Im not saying its acceptable.. but if people are stupid enough to fall for it. It's not really above board because his sale relies on misleading the customer, and the prices are utterly bonkers for what he is offering. Put simply, what a twat.
Charlie Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 General rule for eBaying: If something looks too good to be true, it is.
Kirkatronics Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 It's not really above board because his sale relies on misleading the customer, and the prices are utterly bonkers for what he is offering. Put simply, what a twat. Clearly states what it is though, he relies on peoples stupidities.
MoogleViper Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Clearly states what it is though, he relies on peoples stupidities. Which is why it's wrong. It's tantamount to conning somebody with mental disabilities.
EEVILMURRAY Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I noticed someone selling the box to a Castlevania game, it made it semi apparent, but there were still bids. I can't believe someone would honestly bid knowing it's just the box.
MoogleViper Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Or the guy selling the Xbox 360 box that he had made himself. And it went for something ridiculous like £600 (or dollars maybe).
Ten10 Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 My personal favourite was from around when the ps3 came out. Someone selling 3 ps1's taped together bids sky rocketed obviously, but some people are pretty dense these days anyway.

david.dakota Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Hi guys,I and my wife bought few POLlCE AUCTION NINTENDO DS LITE WITH 4 GAMES EBOOK from Ebay. First of all, welcome to the forums. Since you've paid with paypal, i believe you're quite safe, your payment should be guaranteed by paypal and you should be refunded in due course. I think there is a standard procedure for reimbursement, and it may take a couple of weeks for you to get your money back. Have you filled in the relevant forms on Paypal website? As a side note, remember to be careful on eBay. As a previous poster said, if its too good to be true, it is.

Paypal is keeping my money (£450) First Paypal said wiat till 14th for seller response. After 14th paypal said wait for 28th for their decison. Today 28th they sent mail that they could not make any desion wait for unknown date? I am in deep trouble, I looking for a somone who can help me for legal action against paypal. Else they will not give my money back.
Chuck Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 I had something like this. I bought something and didnt get it. I went through the process of getting a refund, waiting for them to commuinicate with the guy who scammed me, they came back after the 30 days or whatever it was saying they couldnt give me a refund because they couldnt commuinicate/get to his credit card. I then sent a complaint email say how the fuck that could be considering I cover the policy for a refund becuase I DIDNT FUCKING GET WHAT I PAID FOR. They sent an email saying that actually I should get refunded and I got my money back eventually.
