Then the show will be worth watching. Him and Emilie de Ravin of course.

Am I the only Faraday fan or are there more of us? :p

No you're not. I would go gay for Mr Faraday (slight exaggeration)

[/become a pretty big LOST critic]

ReZ, I don't intend to be mean, but nobody really takes Lost seriously. Within it's genre (fantastic), it's a neatly told tale that's far from being the very best ever developed in the genre but is still quite interesting to watch. Isn't that all you care about? The entertainment value of it? I think that what's bothering you is that Lost frustrated you with it's riddles and "too many questions" approach... which is what made Twin Peaks into the masterpiece it is today... and believe me, many of Lost's questions will go purposely unanswered... other than that, it's like Heroes, just suspend your disbelief and go along for the ride, while it's fun.

Thing is...what does that actually mean? I don't go into it expecting a serious drama, but it takes itself seriously, in the sense that it is a drama...and such.

I think its been extremely shit recently. IMO its not the kind of show that leant itself to being written as it went. It should have been firmly set out and plotted as a whole. I don't like the questions being unanswered, because they are so purposely made out as big deals yadda yadda yadda but thats just a small part of it for me. They use the twists and the mystery to help the show, but it doesnt mean anything if it isn't explained.

I fully know I'm in the minority btw, but yeah. Its just not my cup of tea anymore. Its become ridiculous to the point of silly willy.

Yep, except Heroes isn't fun anymore, let's hope Lost still has some magic left.

So there is someone else out there who doesn't worship Heroes!

Quite a lot I think. I ADORED it in season 1 and to a lesser extent season 2, but season 3....its just completely screwed itself over, by having plot holes galore, ie Claires blood fixing everything all the time, no one ever actually dieing for real, shock factor "oh its just gonna be Matts mind trick." "oh its not Matts mind trick....well its not even shocking anymore/will just be retconned next episode" then they all seem to switch personalities each episode, and finally Claire is given the worst dialogue in the world. And shes the worst possible person to say bad dialogue. Ugh.

Similar ro ReZ, I used to worship heroes, couldn't get enough of series 1. But (like many others I believe) I've grown weary and frustrated with it. Excited about Lost though, woo.

Rez, what the hell are you talking about? Plot holes aren't plot holes until its explained, then any issues with the plots can begin, you saying there are plot gaps in lost when the series hasn't finished yet is like saying when mr burns got shot "omg its a plot gap because we don't know who shot him". The point of lost is that it's a msytery, that the viewers are kept in the dark about things, when they are revealed they go OMG I GET IT NOW. If you dislike being kept in the dark then stop watching, walk away and watch (imo) the pointless gun fire in 24.

Even though you tried to justify saying that 24 is just pointless gunfire with an "imo," I'm still disappointed with you, Dom. :heh: 24 is so much more than gunfire... there are knives and stuff used too!

Lol, I watched the first series back at the time to see what the hype was about, but I never really got into it. I kept waiting for stuff to happen, but it seemed like nothing ever did! Even the series finale was an anti-climax I thought so I just left it there and didn't go back.

I actually thought Lost sounded like a really run of the mill idea when it was starting. I figured it would just be some Lord of the Flies retelling so I didn't buy into the initial hype. I caught the second episode cause someone I worked with had been talking about it and I haven't looked back since! I like the crazy sci-fi and the mystery surrounding what is going on. :hehe: I think the characters are great too, due to the flashbacks you get a feel for the people they were before the plane crash/ before they came to the island.

Plus: Jim Robinson.

They have explained alot, i dont know why you're complaining Rez, and the rest you just have to figure out yourself until they give more clues. Thats the fun of it!

Jacob - hes the spirit of the island i think, not a real person. Most recently he took the form of Jack's dad, perhaps as a lure for Claire, but i dont know why. She's special though, giving birth on the island etc.

Black Smoke - Sci-fi, cant really be explained, but i think it could be Jacob's true form.

Dead People - Jacob can use / take the form of people who died on the island, hence why Boon, Charlie etc were seen again

Polarbears - Were used to turn the wheel that 'moves' the island because whoever does so is banished, hence why Polar Bear bones were found in the desert (Ben was sent to a desert when he turned the wheel).

Black Rock - The ship in the middle of the island must have got there when the island 'moved'. Simple.

Time Travel / Moving Island - I've heard the island doesn't physically move, only through time. So the Island still exists in the same place, just not in the present.

Cant think of anything else, but there have been clues / answer to pretty much everything!

Also, Sawyer is a hottie :heh: Yeah I love the mystery, twists, elements of the ridiculous, it's a great package.

Well this post certainly helps TBH. :) I'd never thought of any of that. (However its the little things that I can't remember that from like Seasons 1 and 2 that dont make sense, or rather that I have a problem with) maybe I'll rewatch it sometime and give specific examples. I am aware this is basically saying "I cant remember what it is I dont like about the show" but....yeah. Im pretty retarded and sexual so....like....I'll be let off.

:)

Massive lol.

Because Jacks dad is also Claires dad... they are half brother and sister ;)
