Had to be out of those two to be fair.

Rachel was still better than Eoghan, if you're basing it on tonight.

She's better than a lot of the others in general though. Plus she seems like one of the few willing to take a risk and perform musical styles that might actually relevant to the buying youth of today.

It's truly a hideous (looking at least) name. Eoghan Quigg. It's like a type of herbal remedy a witch would grudgingly give you to cure some kind of gential itch.

"Hmm...I could give you some Eoghan Quigg. Y'know it's, like, really nasty, though, right?"

---

Austin went. Yay. Colour me surprised (happily so).

Quigg is a relatively common surname, as is forenames like that. Its a regional thing, don't hate :heh:

My boss' neice is called Aoife (pronounced ee-fa) I think its pretty awesome.

Wow Eoghan just gave the performance of the night, imo. That was freakin awesome.

He was out of tune through the majority of his song, and when he tried to look sexy whilst singing to that girl... it was just cringe-worthy.

Daniel reminds me of an even cheesier Tony Christie, but at least he didn't overly rely on his sob story this week.

Deadwife (popjustice!) is so utterly annoying. He really needs to out of the competition asap. Ok, your wife died and it's tragic, but thats not enough reason to be in a nationwide singing competition.

Austin should have won simply for his brilliant rendition of Billie Jean.

It wasn't that good.

I liked that he reaaranged it (maybe someone else did), but to be honest, all I wanted to see on frickin' Michael Jackson week was an upbeat song.

Nah he didn't, on the night, Louie mentioned the same arrangement was done on American Idle.

Didn't watch much Saturday, I caught Owen's (dunno how to spell the irish way) performance though, and my god how cringey :/ Also he was out on notes nearly all the time.

Surprised Austin went, there are worse acts still in there that should have gone :/

*cough* Daniel *cough*

I loved Diana's version of call me :D.

If she does not win it will be the biggest crime since last year when that asshole Leon beat the fantastic Rhydian.

I thought last year, they were all a bit shit to be honest. I didn't like any of them in the slightest. Leon reminded me of that other guy, Ray.

Agreed! Her version of call on my was fantastic. I love her.

X Factor presenter Dermot O'Leary has apparently been forced to apologise to Louis Walsh after making jokes about him being camp.

Walsh was said to be "furious" with O'Leary after he made a number of jibes during last Saturday's live show.

An insider told the The Sun: "Dermot was really shocked by how badly Louis reacted, he never meant to be insulting. He was being matey and jokey.

"Simon Cowell is always saying things of a similar nature to Louis but he dismisses it as horseplay between the two mates.

"Dermot has now apologised and promised he won't do it any more - and Louis has accepted it. They both just want to move on."

Now I'm pissed off. Dermots comments were hilarious, and if Loui can't take a little joke, then he's obviously trying to hide something. It was just a bit of fun!

OK, seriously, Diana's performance of Call Me was the best she's ever done imo. The reason why I say this is because me (and most other people) were getting bored with the soft, love songs she was getting (btw, I like Diana and I hope her or Rachel wins). I didn't wanna hear a song that was safe for her, I wanted her to take a risk and she totally pulled it off. That was a fantastic version of Call Me and if that was released in the shops, I would buy it.

Diana and Laura are probably the most amazing singers i've seen

Diana especially...her version of U2's with or without you was absolutely amazing. Why Daniel is STILL in this competition is beyond me!!

Also, in regards to Dermot having to apologise to Louis about the camp jokes...Louis makes jokes to Simon himself, called Daniel Ricky Gervais CONSTANTLY, and then gets annoyed with Dermot?! Jesus Christ....

*ends rant*

X Factor finalist Diana Vickers may have to pull out of Saturday's show after being hit by laryngitis, according to the papers.

the 17-year-old - who is the bookies' favourite to win the series - has been advised by a specialist not to sing after losing her voice.

And despite treatment, producers are not optimistic she will be able to take part on the Mariah Carey-themed show. The finalists will sing tracks by the chart-topping singer, who will also perform live.

"Diana is really distraught as she’s desperate to sing with Mariah Carey," an insider told the paper. "But if it means damaging her voice even further then she knows it’s not worth it."

Also, according to some newspapers, the voting has been leaked and JLS, Diana and Owen have been the three most popular in the publics votes for the first four shows. Purely speculation, mind.
