Injuryed- getting fit is so dangerous!

What a shitter was out doing my morning cycling to try and get a bit fitter, in blistering rain that I got caught in, as I am going off the cycle path and on to a country road that allows access for farmers but is not meant as a through road for cars. A twat comes racing up in their car, I hit my brakes and move to the side of the road, to give the maniac some room but because of all the water on the road I was almost aqua-planing and just kept going past the car and hit the corner of a pot hole in the road just as I passed the cars boot went head over arse! Went straight over the handlebars and landed arms first and then rolled forward....

Ok so the damage I have scrapped all the skin off both palms, I can't but any weight on them, plus just tried playing Soul Calibur IV and it absolutely killed, noticed my fingers are all swollen full of fluid to and also grazed my knee pretty badly, but worst is my back which is absolutely killing me.

Worst thing? The stupid bitch in the car didn't even stop to see if I was ok!

That's hard luck. Not to sound bad but you got off lightly, the last time I rode a bike I went head over the bars and knocked out my two front teeth, cocking up the others around it and scraping the left side of my face. In hospital for like a week.

What's that person doing on that road anyways?

Women make the safest drivers? Pah. :heh:

That sounds crap, is anything broken?

My handlebars are bent lol! My wrists feel pretty swore and I think I am lucky to not have broken one of them at least as I hit the ground with such force!

Sorry to hear that mate!

Prob coz she new she shouldn't of been there and just wanted to 'disappear'. Stupid cow, imagine if u had broke ur legs ur something! Thats terrible.

Exactly it was a pretty spectacular crash as I went straight over the bike, so anything could have happened!

Ouch that sounds bad! As for what she was doing there god knows! There is actually a gate halfway down thats meant to be locked to stop cars getting through. But I've never known it to be locked, it usually at least shut though, I noticed as I limped home pushing my bike that it was wide open. It sucks really as it has massive signs everywhere saying its not a through road, and is the only way to get to the cycle path to get to the next town.

Oi less of the women bashing, I know they are really bad but now I'm one and I'm a good driver ^_^ lol.

Bah drivers, every body is getting peed off with bad drivers these days and nobody seems to stop to help. It's a good job you are ok though, well as well as can be with bad fingers and a wrist *insert cheesy joke here*

When I was little my brakes failed on my bike. I was about 6, and in the rush of the moment the following went through my tiny brain;

"Shit, brakes are out. If I jump off I'm going to break my leg or something (DO NOT WANT!). If I stay on and go down the hill I'm going straight into the resevoir (DO NOT WANT!). If I go off to the side I'm going straight into those thron bushes. (DO NOT WANT!) I know! I'll aim for the lamppost and use that as a brake. Then I'll stop and not hurt myself!"

Of course at the age of 6 I didn't realise that when hitting the lamppost at high speed the back wheel would buck up and send me flying headfirst INTO said lamppost :p

Way back when I used to bike everywhere, and I got shunted at a red light by a guy in white Escort. I went flying and he drove off. Never rode my bike again, it's too dangerous these days.

In a reversal of the situation, I was walking the other day and crossing the road. when this guy on a bike came haring along at high speed on the WRONG side of the road. I didn't even look in that direction because he shouldn't have been there in the first place.

His bike struck me fairly hard and I started to bleed. To top it, he then stopped and sdtarted hurling abuse in Chinese. I responded by getting up close and hurling my own. He then got personal. So I hit him.

Hard.

The last bike accident I had was pretty bad.... I dislocated my shoulder, I can tell you one thing: I have never felt more pain in my entire life....

I fell and I was like: "Shit, hopefully nothing's broken!" Then I felt my shoulder "Crap! It's dislocated" It took an hour and a half before they put it back on its place, I thought I was gonna die for sure!!

Oh and luckily you're OK
