Supernatural next week! Yumyumyum! Of course I'm looking forward to smallville and House as well, but it's Southlands and Friday Night Lights in october that I'm more eager for.

Posted

I'm looking forward to Fringe, Castle, Dollhouse, Stargate Universe and V. I'll also check out The Cleveland show and new series of Family Guy on the off chance that they're good.

Posted

Yeah there are other things there that I'll definitely be watching (dollhouse and the amazing race, for the lols), and a lot of things I'll give a go... but mostly there's stuff I need to catch up with -- Heroes, Big Bang Theory, The Mentalist, HIMYM, etc. Looks alright though.

Posted

Big Bang Theory, House and TSCC for me....oh wait....

Flash Forward looks interesting. Normally I would have thought it sounded rubbish but I'm intrigued.

Posted

Mhm of the new season stuff only Flash Forward and V interest me, and I may check out Happy Town as it has Amy Acker and Tina Majorino in. Oh and Glee.

Dekker says there has been talk about a T:SCC direct-to-DVD movie but I'd imagine its a 2 on the likely-to-happen scale.

Same here. I'm eager for more Southland, I hear they're focussing more on The OC characters character, cutting back on having so many different stories running at once.

My love for FNL is well known, I eagerly await its return.

Other shows i'll watch out for: Smallville, Supernatural, Trauma (possible new Third Watch).

To quote Liz Lemon; Suck it bitches!

There's more but I cut out shows that have never really been discussed here and a lot of namby pamby awards (for instance Mad Men won one for best hairstyling or something) but if you wanna view the rest go here; http://cdn.emmys.tv/awards/primetimeawards.php

Shame BSG and Breaking Bad didn't do better, really, but I think they've been well represented at the awards in previous years anyway. Timberlake for an emmy!? Crazyshit.

I guess awards shows are really just about complaining about who didn't win what.

I complain that in spite of Pushing Daisies winning 3 Emmys (and after they won several last year) it still got canceled. Damn you ABC!

Apparently Timerblake's performance in SNL was quite good (going from general opinion, not just emmys). He won one two years ago for 'Dick in a Box'.

ScyFy and AMC are small cable channels so its not much of a surprise they don't get much recognition.

Posted

Good points dude. They all point to the general 'must-follow-what-the-majority-thinks' agenda that all the big awards shows seem to have these days. Really, us coolsters should stop even noticing the oscars/emmys/MTV awards.

Posted

Same with any awards. I think the Emmys are a bit more open than the Oscars but even so, 30 Rock got 27 noms this year and its the first year its been popular (due to the Palin business). The first two seasons it was below the radar.

This is from a while back but I doubt its ever been posted here. A Desperate Housewives spin-off is in the works (unless its been cancelled since). However its about Lily Tomlin and Kathryn Joosten's characters (Mrs McKlusky and her sister) which must be the first show green-lit staring a 60+ cast since Golden Girls.

I adore houewives so much, but in all honestly I can't really see that working that well. The characters are fun in small doses, but a full hour of them every week? No thanks.

Suck it bitches. Comedy Central have picked up the rights for Season 3 of 30 Rock and will begin airing it on Monday at 10pm. Hopefully they'll get seasons 1 and 2 too (and 4 onwards).

Posted

Excellent! Bryan Cranston totally deserved that. Two seasons so far, and he's won the emmy for both. That's got to say something to all you FOOLS out there who still aren't watching it.

Posted

Man has mid-lifed crisis (brought about by other factors but too lazy to spoiler cut) and turns to peddlin' drugs. The concept just doesn't appeal to me. I did watch the pilot and intend to watch the rest at some point but yeh...

Besides, I don't see you running off to watch Damages :p
