darksnowman Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 Good thing no one said that. Hmm. I think its implied when Emasher asked: How good is the online in the MH games. And How much did it cost in previous games?
Emasher Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 Actually I wouldn't mind paying for it if It was decent, I'm just curious how good it actually is.
Diageo Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 - Single and Network mode (Unknown if its pay-to-play) What about this bit? Also, anyone know if MHG will have offline co-op, like splitscreen? And will MH3 be able to do splitscreen online? Like me and a friend on 1 Wii against another friend on another wii?
Hero-of-Time Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Actually I wouldn't mind paying for it if It was decent, I'm just curious how good it actually is. I would pay to play it. The amount of hours I spent playing the PS2 version would have easily been worth the monthly fees. I paid for PSO aswell and that didnt bother me either.
Ganepark32 Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Some new screenshots of Monster Hunter G at link below: http://www.famitsu.com/game/news/1221101_1124.html
Zechs Merquise Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Some new screenshots of Monster Hunter G at link below: http://www.famitsu.com/game/news/1221101_1124.html Looks ok, but nowhere near as good as 3. I reckon it'll be jap only, another Capcom re-release alongside the RE1 and RE0, neither of which reached the west.
Shino Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 How can they doubt the demand for this game? Even if it was small, a game this big should always be available to more consumers possible.
jammy2211 Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 How can they doubt the demand for this game? Even if it was small, a game this big should always be available to more consumers possible. Because all the previous editions were flops outside Japan? :/
Shino Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Because all the previous editions were flops outside Japan? :/ But the game is already made! Translation and allocation can't cost that much that a few 50k copies wouldn't cover. Everything else is profit.

If only it were that simple. There are expenses well beyond just translating the game and sorting it's TV region coding. And er, I'd be very surprised if Monster Hunter went past 50k sales in Europe on PS2. If it were viable Capcom would do it.

I don't know how reliable VGChartz is but its the only thing I can find, and if its anything to go by the only games that sold really well were the PSP ones and they didn't sell that bad in the west either.

VGChartz is reasonable, don't take it as the gospal but it's all we've got. They didn't do bad, Monster Hunter 3 will probably come to the west, I was just saying this Monster Hunter G game won't. Who knows, I don't even care about this series lol.
The-chosen-one Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Monster hunter G? is there another one coming for the wii? and what's the difference between the two?
Ganepark32 Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Monster Hunter G is a port of the first PSP game for the Wii with added Wii controls and nothing else really. Monster Hunter 3 Tri is a brand new game in the series being made specifically for the Wii.
The-chosen-one Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 so monster hunter G will also keep the same graphics as the psp version mmh then i'll just wait for monster hunter 3 maybe if they upgrade G then ill buy it how many players can meet online i mean in town and stuff i know that only 4 players can team up but how many can you meet in town?
Hero-of-Time Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 In the PS2 version you could have 8 players in a town at once.
Retro_Link Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 http://www.cubed3.com/news/11424 A video interview with Capcom's Ryozo Tsujimoto discusses control methods in Monster Hunter Tri for Wii. - Different control schemes - plus a simpler mode for newer players (press A, auto combos). - Where Past material returns (models, designs, monsters) have been remade, ground-up for Wii graphics engine. Trying to be the best game visually on Wii. - Online Monster Hunter - as you'd expect - teaming up with people over the net, form a party of up to 4 folk. Maximum players per town is still undetermined. - Overseas version still unknown, but will be considered if demand is high enough. "We want it!". They need to know "N-Europe do want it!"
Hero-of-Time Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Im gonna be so peed of if this doesn't get a western release. How come the PSP versions do yet the console one may not? At least I will have Monster Hunter Unite on the PSP to keep me going come March/April time.
mcj metroid Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 ewww that monster hunter G looks horrid.. Hard to know whether 3 will get a release but I'd say they;ll gamble on it.. May change the name though but I suppose it doesn't matter.
Gio001 Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 I thought Monster Hunter 3 had been confirmed for western release, eeek!!! had been looking forward to it aswell.
ShadowV7 Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 There should be some sort of huge petition to let Capcom know that we want it They can start one on they're own site so it's a bit more legitimate. We better get it or i'll be really annoyed.
mcj metroid Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 ah we'll get.. they wouln't hint it otherwise... if we didn't get it now they'll just piss everyone off.
