bob Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 If Kristen Bell has any freelance design jobs going, Ashley will be first in the queue.
Ashley Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Dude sloths are awesome. And it's just a random image I did and intend to one day animate. Got bored of using Columbus. Wanted to liven up the logo a bit, and it's one that can 'interact' with the logo rather than just being awkwardly placed.
Ashley Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Contrary to what I said above, I may do two different designs with two different colours and images (one being the sloth, the other probably being Columbus). Anyway, moved the 'ones' up a bit, does it look less like a capital J? And I shaved off the top of the 'y'...in Photoshop because Illustrator is a mind fuck. Thoughts?
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Is the horizontal line supposed to now be at different heights?
Ashley Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Yes. The one on the left has been moved up, as moving the surname up caused it to go off balance so I was just rebalancing it.
Magnus Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 It still looks like a capital J and the horizontal lines made more sense before. Not sure why you decided to fix something that no one had a problem with. :p
Ashley Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 People outside of this thread commented on it :p It's not a definite change, but trying out variations.
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 I liked the horizontal lines better before.
MoogleViper Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Yeah it was better when the horizontal line went straight across. It created some order for the mind to focus on, and for the text to come off of. Now it just looks messy.
Rummy Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I think that looks all right tbh, the Y was my biggest gripe before but now I don't notice it.
Ashley Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Well I went for a different colour with the sloth What do people think of the back? Too plain? Cheers for the feedback so far folks Figured that I'd do one of each so people have choices!
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Yes! Now it looks good! Also, I much prefer the red sloth one.
dan-likes-trees Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 (edited) In progress! Edited June 1, 2013 by dan-likes-trees
dan-likes-trees Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Well the one above looks shit in hindsight. Slightly improved... And another one...
bob Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Jesus bloody wept. No. You're thinking of the virgin Mary who wept blood. Jesus was her son. Good drawings though.
ChloboShoka Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Well I went for a different colour with the sloth What do people think of the back? Too plain? Cheers for the feedback so far folks Figured that I'd do one of each so people have choices! The one with the sloth is really cute.
bob Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Is that out of your brain or were you working from a photo?
dan-likes-trees Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Is that out of your brain or were you working from a photo? I wish my imagination were that good! Just doing a drawing of a photo - that one of Cara Delavinge (cos I'm such a secret MailOnline reader) Googles not throwing up the pic but it was one from this set And the ones before that were of trendies Lucy Rose and St Vincent, and then my old man - obv.
