welsh_gamer Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 All Zelda games since Ocarina of Time, Mario World credits, Dr Mario theme and the Tetris theme. They sound great on a piano! And at the time (1999?2000?) I loved the Donkey Kong rap. Used to put the game on just to listen to that.
Shino Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Zelda normally has great music. The original Jet Set Radio has the best soundtrack ever though. Understand! Understand! The concept of love! I've listened to too many, the latest one is Zelda 4swords title screens, really moody.
Kurtle Squad Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 And at the time (1999?2000?) I loved the Donkey Kong rap. Used to put the game on just to listen to that. I love the DK Rap, I don't get peoples dislike for it.
mcj metroid Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 games have fantastic music for those that listen.Games like zelda, mario, metroid, old sonic games most commodore 64 games had great soundtracks. I love the DK Rap, I don't get peoples dislike for it. ya i think people took it too seriously. it was meant to be a laugh. the rap is better in melee though
The Bard Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Anything by Yasunori Mitsuda, therefore, the Chrono series and Xenosaga.

Tellyn Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 He's the leader of the bunch, you know him well, And he's finally back, to kick some tail!
McMad Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 You can always expect good music out of Square Enix games. And the man, whoever he is, that composed for Shadow of the Colossus is a very talented guy.
Rummy Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Well, I actually just found what I think is the Saria's Song I was referring to. I swear it was much harder before, however, the person also has a rather decent punk gerudo valley, check it out; http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=144437
Mr. Bananagrabber Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 W8 m8s. I forgot about Ouendan. That was shit hot. Shame about Elite Beat Agent's soundtrack.
Hellfire Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 If you like Metal listen to Goat and Virt remixes. They make awesome musics. He's the leader of the bunch, you know him well,And he's finally back, to kick some tail! I love that song. It brings back memories.
Oxigen_Waste Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 The music found in games is just as good as music made anywhere else. There's great stuff to be heard, be warned.
Goron_3 Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Phoenix Wright and Zelda:OOT have awesome music (especially the latter). Street Fighter II also had good music (especailly ken stage )
Hero-of-Time Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 I love listening to videogame music, I probably listen to that more than chart music. My favs are all the Zelda game soundtracks, FF and Kingdom Hearts, Baten Kaitos, the Tales series and more recently God of War soundtracks. Alot of the ordinary music I listen to is because of games. Im always on youtube looking at fan made music vids for games and if a song fits well and I like it then I go buy the album for that band. Recently I did this for All American Rejects as a guy made a KH2 vid with the song Dance Inside, it was awesome.
Kurtle Squad Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 The only Phoenix Wright music I have is the badger one
Kurtle Squad Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Where do you guys get your music from? *coughillegalyonthenetbittorrentlimewireetccough*
Rummy Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Darn, I was hoping there'd be some handy site full of game music rips and remixes. I know of a few which are all right for midis, both close to the originals and remixes, but for some I want the actual original soundtrack.
martinist Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 The Mini Bosses are a grate source of video game music, i love their version of the big blue theme
