Zechs Merquise Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Oh come on, 24.99 is a great price for such a gem of a game.
The Bard Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 I would buy it without a moments hesitation if only I knew I could transfer my save file from my GC .
Kurtle Squad Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 I would buy it without a moments hesitation if only I knew I could transfer my save file from my GC . Yeah, that's 1 of the biggest problems; it also sucks that Zelda Collectors Edition doesn't read the WW OOT save.
david.dakota Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 I would buy it without a moments hesitation if only I knew I could transfer my save file from my GC . But what an excuse to play through a spectaculr game again and again! When is the UK release?
Cube Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 New Trailer on Re4:Wii site Is it me, or does the game look like it runs a bit faster? When is the UK release? 29th June
The Bard Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 But what an excuse to play through a spectaculr game again and again! When is the UK release? I've completed it 9 times, 6 on pro. All I want to do now is go through the game with my infinate launcher and handcannon and rack up the monies so I can post my wealth on teh internets and be recognised as the worlds biggest loser. Honestly. You can't say that not being able to transfer your file is a good thing.

Cube Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 On this subject, would it at all be possible to do this? Fire Emblem on the Wii loads stats from the GameCube version, so yes, it is possible.
Sparko Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Famitsu were very impressed with this game, according to ign: Judging by the scores, the Wii could have a critical hit. Two editors awarded the game a perfect 10 out of 10. The other two were still impressed enough to award a score of 9. The reviewers noted that while the content is almost the same as the GameCube original, the direct Wiimote-based controls offer a plus, making the game feel like something fresh and different. One reviewer said that the game offers the feeling of being closer to the action as well as upping the tension. Multiple reviewers agreed on two points, that the new controls are simple and easy to get into, and that even those who played the original will be able to enjoy themselves.
Goron_3 Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Wow, 38/40. brilliant score. Nice to see they've got the controls working well.
IMJ Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 I'm kinda hyped for this game. I've played the original on GC to death, but it's still on my must-have list. This game is just so much fun. Plus, I wanna play the Ada missions. Good to hear the controls work well, though I find it to be suitable in the first place. Hopefully this sells good enough to warrant another RE after RE:UC. RE5 or not, I just want another RE4-style game with the same production value.
James McGeachie Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Any idea what Famitsu gave the original and PS2 versions of the game?
Sparko Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Any idea what Famitsu gave the original and PS2 versions of the game? I found this site on google: http://games.toptenreviews.com/reviews/g22704.htm If you scroll down a bit it says that the gamecube version got 38/40 also. I couldn't find the PS2 famitsu score though.
aenaos Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 38/40!!?Wow! I havent played resident evil 4 and i was interested in the wii Edition..the game seems very good!awesome!
4q2 Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 If the game is £25, Its a must buy for me, the new controls look like they could make the game interesting...Im willing to complete it again several times.
Cookyman Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 If the game is £25, Its a must buy for me, the new controls look like they could make the game interesting...Im willing to complete it again several times. Now £24.99 on play.com too! Play.com link
The Lillster Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 I've only completed the game once, so i'm buying it again.
4q2 Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Now £24.99 on play.com too!Play.com link Quality....loving this budget gaming thing. Some new players/RE4 first timers are going to get a damn good deal with this one.: peace:
Hellfire Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Nintendo Power confirms (the obvious) that the PS2 extras that are in the game are being graphically revamped.
pedrocasilva Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Now £24.99 on play.com too!Play.com link Americans are still getting it for $29.99; I want it at £17.99/30 euros
Jhaqen Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Yeah, considering that and the fact that you can usually get brand new Wii games for ~£30, it should be lower.
... Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 From what I've seen in the new trailer, it looks better than the GC version. I already have that version though and I'm not buying this game again.
Zechs Merquise Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Nintendo Power confirms (the obvious) that the PS2 extras that are in the game are being graphically revamped. Well at least a few developers care for quality and want to preent us with a finished and well polishd product. I hope the same attention to detail goes into RE:UC
Kurtle Squad Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Americans are still getting it for $29.99; I want it at £17.99/30 euros But the Yanks always get games cheaper. Be thankful you don't live in Malta, where electonic stuff such as games have the same 'price' as the Brits, but in MTL. 30MTL = £50 (ROUGHLY)
