Okay guys!

What Kate Bush album should I try first? :D

Quickly do them chronologically!

The Kick Inside

Lionheart

Never For Ever

The Dreaming

Hounds Of Love

The Sensual World

The Red Shoes

Aerial

Hounds Of Love is her best if you are naive. The Dreaming and Aerial are her technical bests. The Red Shoes is my fave.

Thanks Chairdriver.

And so the mission begins!

Also what Camille songs would you regard as her best? :)

Le Jeune Fille Aux Cheveux Blancs, Senza and Katie's Tea are my favourites.

Ta Douleur is her most mainstream song. I never particularly liked it though.

Janine I,II,III are all pretty awesome too.

I'm a big fan of The Sensual World. Kate Bush in her prime singing breathlessly about her breasts? mm, yes.

The Sensual World and Aerial are very similar in that they show a much more reflective Kate, and while I've never been that interested in TSW that much, it holds a place in my heart.

It's weird to think it's 20 years old, because I've always thought of it as a more recent album.

Has anyone else heard the new album yet? I managed to get a few listens to it today, not finding it too great so far and I'm a ma-ha-hooooosive U2 fan. Hopefully it will grow on me a a bit, liked it more the 2nd time through and even more the 3rd time.....
Have you listened to Magnificent? I'm so in love with that guitar riff.

It 'feels' better than How To Dismantle... ! Solid quality throughout, but except Magnificent and Get On Your Boots, nothing keeps sticking in my mind.

I wanted to put The Kills - 'Gypsy Death & You' but they don't have it... :(

Added Metric.

Maybe we should have a couple of playlists for different moods? Crazy idea?

Edit: Just added the last 6 songs, from 'Maps' through to 'Too Long/Steam Machine' which is essentially a cover of Bronski Beat's 'Smalltown Boy' which I also added.

Y'all give a listen!

Seeing as the post last night was deleted due to the down time, I feel the need to repost a little.

Long story short, Rachel Stevens - Come And Get It...unexpectedly great electro-pop album....on the Guardians 1000 albums to listen to before you die...give it a look see on Spotify.

Some Girls, I Said Never Again (But Here We Are), So Good (No idea why I called it "Come an Get It"), Crazy Boys, and It's All About Me are some good tracks.

Like the Guardian review said, the people behind the album obviously thought "it's probably going to flop, we may as well experiment." I've not given her first album a go yet (Though I did always have a guilty pleasure for "Sweet Dreams My L.A Ex"), I'll do it another time.

Also trying out another critically acclaimed but failed album, Holly Valance's "State Of Mind". I'm really liking it. Literally every song feels like a potential single.
