^ Say that again about Thom Yorke and you'll be reaching for the ice pack to put on your extremely sore, and bleeding, balls.

*Puts on shoe.*

Yes but his totally average voice doesn't give me a migraine, one listen to the pyramid song and im reaching for the Nurofen.

Would you like me to repeat it?

I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I enjoy listening to it (even after hearing it on the radio a billion times). =P

Much better than the 50cent original I think.

You can repeat it as many times as you like. And then you can hope that we never meet at a future N-E meet-up.

For the time being, have a migraine:

Why? and miss the fun of you trying to kick my ass? It's a date.

I listened to this the other day and thought it was awesome Dan. Check it out:

Temple of the Dog is good. Dan - you should give a listen to Mad Season by Mad Season. It's a collaboration of some Screaming Trees/Alice In Chains/Pearl Jam geezers. (I love Mark Lanegan.)

Let me know if you have trouble finding it.

It's quite good, yes, but unlike Temple Of The Dog, it's bellow the sum of it's parts. It's quite hit and miss, actually. Layne Stayley > Chris Cornell & Eddie Vedder.

Went to Oxfam Music shop today, aka I won at life.

Bought a Spritualized album, Let It Come Down.

Bought Betcha Bottom Dollar by The Puppini Sisters.

And I finally got my hands on Cd 2 of All Is Full Of Love by Bjork! I now have 2 full single sets, AIFOL, and It's Oh So Quiet.

Also bought the Professional Widow single by Tori Amos. The shitty remix one that went to no.1, but it was 49p, and the fact it was on massive display felt funny.

Oh sweet man, I had no idea you were there! I was there too, I was considering PMing you the day before but because it was quite limited I didn't think you'd be going. I should have known better! :P

I thought it was an amazing gig personally, absolutely loved it. Mercury gets better every time I hear it - and my God, I actually touched Kele when he ran through the crowd during the song. :D

Must get Intimacy, the songs I didn't recognize were great!

Damn we could have had a N-E meet up in the Bloc Party queue!

Was a great gig and yes you must get Intimacy, I love Ion Square which they played. Was amazing, great line "I love my mind when im fucking you". Love it.

Just picked up Perfect Symmetry by Keane. I was little doubtful with Spiralling it sounded a bit Killers (who I'm not fond of so much), but the rest of the album is more reminiscent of David Bowie or New Order .

There are a few songs that are more of their old sound, the actual song Perfect Symmetry is a good example of this. I'm glad thy haven't strayed far from their piano-rock roots because I feel that was their sort of USP.

Tom's vocals are, unsurprisingly, beautiful.

i thought the world at large decided keane were dogshit a year or so ago? no? was it a beautiful dream?

Sweet Jesus Dan, that's you basically saying the same thing twice in the space of 3 posts. Fine, you dislike Keane...we get it.

I'm not a fan either tbh, I didn't mind a song of theirs from their last album, but that's about it.

I'm looking forward to the EMA's this year, Katy Perry was just announced as the host. :D

Huh? Please enlighten me on why you persist that they are awful.

They're the definition of average, wishy washy housewife pop who's success is entirely down to being picked up on the passing coat tails of Coldplay. They've done nothing good or noteworthy and their continued popularity is, frankly, astounding.
