Weird old games that you want a Wii-make of?

Theres been alot of discussion about so called "Wii-makes". Games previously released or nearly released and given new Wii controls.

But what really weird games that you've played do you want remade? Well mine is a game from the Japanese N64 launch that i bet money on very few people have even heard of, never mind played.

Fire Electric Pen. This game was GENIUS. All you had to do was move a ball around complex mazes with a side on 2D perspective, but with 3D graphics.

It had the best music and even better it had amazing Japanese commentary. Which i used to actually know off by heart, it was that funny.

Examples of how it'd be used, would be great.

So, what do you want? What random obscure games do you want to utilise the Wii controls?

I have 4 letters.

C.R.O.C.

It would just nick all the twilight princess controls, like shake the nunchuck for a crocodiley tailwhip.

And I would hope for less scary foes...

Wind Waker and OOT would be nice. And Luigi's Mansion.

Not really what i was going for... I said 'weird' games. >_>

Oh hell yes.

Also- The Neverhood. I don't care how the controls are implemented. I just want MOAR. I think a lot of old point and click games would be at home on the Wii/DS. I'd love to see some of Gochi Suda's old stuff rereleased. And there's a lot of old Sega Saturn stuff that needs a rerelease so people can realise how awesome they were.

A sequel to the distressingly Japan-only Sin and Punishment please. Worldwide this time, if you don't mind. The shooting action would work perfectly of course.

Yay! Those Gobbos were so damn cute. If they ever get genetic engineering nailed, I'd love a whole bunch of them for pets. :)

40 Winks simple as. It deserves a sequel but I don't know who own the rights to it.

Isn't it Atari? Also, the Wikipedia article says it was released on the PlayStation, and doesn't mention the N64....I'm sure it was on the 64...

Alundra and Radiant Silvergun, not wierd, but I still want updates of these thoroughly classic games.

/\ He didn't mention THAT game!!?!?!?!

It isn't very old, but Killer7 is almost too perfect for the Wii. I also think a lot more people would enjoy it with Wiimote aiming.

Shenmue, replete with more mobile QTEs and real-time figurine turning! Walk using the Nunchuk and look by pointing at the screen. I'm not sure how the Virtua Fighter-esque bits would work, but I wouldn't object to them being stripped out and being replaced be more interactive, branching QTEs.

I haven't actually played this, but I know it has its fans: Maken X. It's a first-person game with swords, clubs, stun batons, and all sorts of close-quarters nastiness. The original used a lock-on fighting mechanic, and I think that combined with Wiimote weapon control could be quite entertaining.

Oh, and Rez, obviously. Add a new level or two, slap on some interesting bloom and distortion effects, and there you go, we're all buying it.

I would do some unimaginable things for a sequel to that game. Its my favourite game ever T_T.

Bills Tomato Game...

You had to launch a Tomato from a spring board and get it onto a conveyor belt without it falling too fast, or snagging something, or else SPLAT.

You had to position fans, blocks, mini trampolines and jack in the boxes around the level for the tomato to slide along, all was mouse driven.

Was for the Amiga, absolutely loved the game...

No chance it will ever make an appearance on the Wii though since it was developed and published by the now Sony owned Psygnosis.

adventures of bayou billy.

Not the best game ever, but it combined multiple gameplay levels of simple 2D fighting, levels where you had to shoot with the zapper and levels where you had to drive your jeep.

This meant you had to switch between the nes controller and the zapper during gaming, but with the wiimote, you could have a simple fighting with the wiimote, use it as a point gun for the zapper levels and use it in the sameway as in excitetruck for the driving levels.

I'm pretty sure it was released on the 64 in europe, not in america though. Or I have played it on the playstation -but deserves a wii sequel. Didn't eurocom release sphinx and the cursed mummy on the gamecube?

Lemmings.

It just, would work.

Shame the Sony has the rights to it.

Agreed was an awesome game!

Other than that I've always wanted to see a 3D version of Repton something I've said many times on here.

Yes this would be absolutely great, I also thought about that before.

You play as Con Smith and aim with two wiimotes for instance :awesome:

Cant fault that, been on my list for ages, as for everyone buying it.....doubtful, it was a much misunderstood concept that didnt sell that well.

While they are at it they could do a special edition Space Channel 5 1 & 2 as well.

[update: actually there seems to be rumours abound with both the above, which I totally missed or slept through...possible Rez 2, possible Rez on XBLA, possible New SC5. That Mizuguchi geezer knows how to tease].

Tapper could be an interesting concept with the wiimote.

Hmmm...

Silent Heroes for the PC:

Seriously speaking, I'd like Excitebike 64. I wanted to buy it for the N64, but then the GC came out and I just kept buying all the good games for that, and finally when I got arround to order it, all the swedish stores had gotten rid of all their N64-games :(
