Garden_Pigeon Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Well, seeing as there the same kinda "base food" for most dishes, do you prefer noodles or rice?
Fierce_LiNk Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Eggfried rice for curries is great. It's also what I usually get when I order a chinese, too. Rice, by far. Brown rice, egg fried rice, king prawn fried rice, give it all to me.
Charlie Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Rice, definitely. Whenever I get a curry (which isn't often) we always get rice with it. I hardly ever have noodles actually.
Guest Jordan Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Super noodles are awesome, but rice is awesome when fried... so i dunno i guess rice.
Garden_Pigeon Posted January 17, 2007 Author Posted January 17, 2007 NOO! Vote Noodles! You all know Super Noodles rock your worlds.
Stocka Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 I love both but generally prefer and have more rice. Brown rice is much nicer than plain boiled rice. When I have an indian I love to have vegetable pilau rice. I love egg fried rice/special fried rice(with prawns) in a chinese but usually have beef chow mein, which is amazing.

Yeah, we have another believer in the house. Brown rice really is the shit, isn't it? I wish I was home right now, my Mum makes the bestest brown rice in the history of the universe. Brown rice, with peas, and it just tastes gorgeous.
Guest Stefkov Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 If we're taking about the noodles that are like pot noodles then I hate them. I love Egg Fried Rice, especially when its made right infront of you fresh. On a side note I love pasta. Macaroni cheese, spagetti bologneise, past and meatballs, you name it I love it.
Stocka Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Stir-frys are nice, haven't had one in a while but I remember having a delicious home made bang bang chicken one, mmm. Stir fried vegetables are immense. Yeah, we have another believer in the house. Brown rice really is the shit, isn't it? I wish I was home right now, my Mum makes the bestest brown rice in the history of the universe. Brown rice, with peas, and it just tastes gorgeous. Brown rice goes so well with nearly anything, heck I just love it on its own
weeyellowbloke Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Noodles are alright on occassion, sometimes as a wee snack, but as a basis for meals they can't compare to rice. Also I've had a bit of an aversion to noodles ever since I was little, when I thought they looked a bit like alien brains. Yeah, we have another believer in the house. Brown rice really is the shit, isn't it? True that, could just eat a bowl of it on its own, although I reckon pilau rice beats it overall as the best rice around.
Garden_Pigeon Posted January 17, 2007 Author Posted January 17, 2007 We're talking any kind of noodles. Chow mein, anything.
Babooo Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Noodles ftw. But I still love rice as well. A hard choice.
Fierce_LiNk Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 We're talking any kind of noodles. Chow mein, anything. Give it up, man. We don't take kindly to your noodle-loving folk type around here. Its rice, or its nothing at all!
Supergrunch Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 I dispute your rice. Noodles are the way forward, unless it comes to potatoes.
MoogleViper Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Noodles are nice but rice just goes so well with currys and the like. I wonder what Noodleman will choose?
Fierce_LiNk Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Thinking about it, I wonder how a noodle curry would turn out. Do I dare?
weeyellowbloke Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Thinking about it, I wonder how a noodle curry would turn out. Do I dare? Hmmm, give it go. Push the boundaries of convention. Who knows you may come up with a winner.
4q2 Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Noodles FTW. That reminds me...Jaffa cakes: Biscuit or cake ?
Raining_again Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Brown rice and the hottest curry i can get = win.
Fierce_LiNk Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Hmmm, give it go. Push the boundaries of convention. Who knows you may come up with a winner. Next time I have a curry, I'll try it out. I do wonder how it'll turn out though. I bet it tastes like a mess.
MoogleViper Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 That reminds me...Jaffa cakes:Biscuit or cake ? A cake goes hard when stale a biscuit goes soft. Leave one out for a while and you'll find out.
