Paj! Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 £4.96 Read all of Dark Avengers, but I loved and need. Plus cheap.
Dan_Dare Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 ooh that is cheap. I'm holding out for a bit to see if they omnibus the whole series, Iron Man style. Nice to know I can bag it on the sly if need be.
Paj! Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Beware I bought it off eBay. Though Amazon's rpices are pretty awesome IMO. In bookshops and comic shops graphic novels are always like £2-£4 too expensive to make me want to buy them, Amazon's got some at just below a fiver, most being £15 tops (and that's for the collections of 12 issues or so), until you get the specialist stuff and omnibuses.
Happenstance Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 I tend to get most of my trades off amazon, only time I really buy them in shops is when its a harder to find trade

It's all about the little sellers on amazon. I imagine they're the same as the guys on ebay.
Paj! Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Most of the ones I've looked at the sellers for, they're cheaper, but then with the P+P it's the same price if not more expensive. But that's not everyone obviously.

ReZourceman Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Ugh. Seriously that shit over Chew? You need a good, hard slap sometimes.
Paj! Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Don't even judge me. Well do, if you want. At least it's not Ultimates 3. Which I even know is bad. A-SBAR:TBW (I love) is hilarious (and I appreciate it far more than most seem to...). Plus I'm loathe to buy things I don't know If I'll like. Image is tricksy for me.
ReZourceman Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 All Star Batman and Ultimates 3 gave me about the same amount as pleasure. Probably ASB even less because "JIM LEE IZ FUXING HAZXXXXX" :| Paj Meen Ah said: Plus I'm loathe to buy things I don't know If I'll like. Image is tricksy for me. READ CHEW ASAP. Ghuh. If you don't obtain issue 1 by the end of today, then I will de-mote myself to associate producer on our Power Rangers Movie.
EEVILMURRAY Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Robin looks like he's kicking Batman in the groin, and really enjoying it.
Ganepark32 Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Today's purchase: Super Mario Galaxy 2 - £35.49 from GAME (Yay for reward card points)

Probably ASB even less because "JIM LEE IZ FUXING HAZXXXXX" :| Well I'm not really a Jim Lee fanboy, I said when I first read ASB that I would have way preferred if Miller had illustrated it himself, and that I 100% believe the final product would work better as a whole if he had. But then I've read up on him and his thoughts recently and I believe his using Lee was an active (artistic) statement...TDKSA was all bright and vibrant as a reaction to how the first one seemed to shape the tone of comics that came after it, he wanted to shift it back to ridiculous bad-assery or whatever. Or just make a statement about that. I think that in All-Star, the prequel to both Dark Knights, he uses Lee so there is a disconnect between expectations of a Batman story and what is presented. Hush has become definitive Batman in recent years, and especially Lee's art. I think Miller is just playing with the notions of archetype and it all links quite nicely with Strikes Again. It's not a hugely well-told story (so far) let's not lie, but I think people seem to miss the point as well. Quote READ CHEW ASAP. Ghuh. Happenstance Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Wasnt actually gonna order anymore stuff this week but saw this for £7.95 on The Hut so decided to get it
McPhee Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 (edited) Acoustic Energy Aegis Evo 3 Just the floor-standers for now though, will have to get the rest some other time (not enough monies). Denon AVR-1909 Sky+ HD All from AV Forums' Classifieds, cost me about £400 in total (which is pretty good considering the lot was worth over a grand when new). About another £250-£300 to go to get the rest of the speakers It's taken 3 hours to cable everything up so far and I'm not done yet. Still got 3 speakers to go. Then I've got to configure the amp. A lot of work considering I've no idea if it all sounds any good yet... I'll post up some AV porn when I'm done (and no, ReZ, I don't mean what you're thinking. Dirty, disturbed boy ) Edited June 12, 2010 by McPhee
