Plus 'Trailers' could cover a whole range of things (well, TV and games) which it sometimes does. People complain we have too many big threads, then complain when we segregate. People very rarely post anything other than film trailers. TV trailers seem to always be in the TV news thread (I'm pretty sure in the last 5 pages bar your one post on Nip/Tuck everything posted has been a film trailer) and games trailers are in their respective game's threads. Nintendohnut Posted August 28, 2009 Share Posted August 28, 2009 Right, I am all for lots of threads as well as some threads being just one (the Apple thread for example - I'd like to see that start again but I doubt it ever will, and loads of little threads are pointless) and in this case I like there being separate movie news and trailers threads. If I see a new post in the trailers thread (this may sound obvious) but I know its a trailer so I'm more likely to click it to see what new trailer has popped up online. I go into the movie news thread to read articles people post on movie news and to discuss said articles and news. I don't really see trailers as 'news' - you said yourself they are advertising; trying to sell. Therefore, for that reason alone the two should stay separate - the news thread for news, and the trailers thread for advertising. Some people in the movie news thread may not want trailers clogging up their beautifully pristine, video-free thread either... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

When I posted the Tron trailer I also posted something about the soundtrack and concept art in the other thread. Would it have been much easier to post that in one thread. Definitely. But in a Snow Crash-esque world where people sit their bodies at home but traipse around the world in their surrogate faux-bodies. People live life TO TEH EXTREEM because basically you can't die in your surrogate body. UNTIL NOW!!234ry2! Yeah.
